Stef Tor Joins Epic

Author: Epic Press Release
Date: 12-10-2004

Steff TorEpic Camera Housings has announced the signing of female wakeskater Stef Tor. Stef is the 2004 Armature Wakeskate World Champion and will be featured in the up and coming documentary on women wakeboarders titled "A Wake" set to release in 2005.

"Stef has done so much for the sport and will wreck havoc in years to come" said Jason Hase, Epic's VP Marketing. "Stef can turn heads and we couldn't be more stoked to have her aboard." Terms of the agreement were not disclosed but as Stef put it, "I am a really stoked to be part of the Epic Team." Stef is the first female to join the Epic team that already includes Danny Hampson, Ricky Gonzales, and Brett Brinkerhoff.

Epic Camera Housings Inc. was conceived by a couple of surfers who wanted to record their watersports adventures. To their surprise they found that standard camera housings are designed for scuba diving. Scuba housings are bulky, heavy, and expensive, are camera specific, and are not very suitable for the filming in the surf.

After researching the needs of the average surfer they developed the Epic Camera Housing. Epic Camera Housings are compact, lightweight, durable, extremely affordable and are compatible with over 500 different video cameras.
