George Daniels Wins World ChampionshipDate: 10-03-2004
Rookie sensation, George Daniels, took home the World Championship title by finishing first at the final stop of the Vans WWA Wakeboard World Championships in Orlando, FL October 3, 2004. Daniels busted onto the Pro Tour scene in '04 with a podium finish here and there, but he finished up strong by winning the last stop of the season. Daniels finished ahead of the defending World Champion, Brian Grubb, to rest at the top of the podium. Philip Basino, the 2004 Pro Wakeskate Series Champion, ended the weekend in the third place position.

An Amature Wakeskate World Championship was also crowned and the title now belongs to Canadian ripper, Stef Tor. This was the first time an armature wakeskate division was offered at the Vans WWA Wakeboard World Championships. Tor was the only female armature wakeskate competitor, but that didn't stop her from riding her way to a World Championship title.
