Orlando, Florida - Sea-Doo® watercraft, the official personal watercraft of the Pro Wakeboard Tour and Vans Triple Crown of Wakeboarding Series, is stepping up to sponsor the SeaDoo Pro Wakeskate Series, a five-event tour that will travel with the Pro Wakeboard Tour. SeaDoo will also sponsor a
three-event wakeskate series as part of the Vans Triple Crown in 2003.

The top wakeskaters in the world are on board this season for the first wakeskate tour in the sport's history. At every Pro Wakeboard Tour and Vans Triple Crown event top wakeskaters such as Brian Grubb, Drew McGuckin, Thomas Horrell and even Scott Byerly, will be competing. Look for the world's best pro wakeboarders such as Parks Bonifay, Chad Sharpe and Erik
Ruck to jump in as well.

Wakeskating has been catching on over the past few years and is seen as the evolution of the sport of wakeboarding with roots in both skateboarding and surfing. Athletes ride a board on water with no bindings, wearing skateboarding shoes instead.

SeaDoo has been a supporter of the Pro Wakeboard Tour since the beginning. Past Pro Tour events pulled by SeaDoo include Boardercross and the Slider X Series. This year will be SeaDoo's largest involvement in Pro Tour events with a $5,000 cash purse for each Pro Wakeskate Tour event on
the Pro Tour and a SeaDoo GTX4-TEC Vans Triple Crown Edition as the grand prize for the Vans Triple Crown wakeskate season champion.

"Our partnership with SeaDoo has been excellent for the past decade," said Terry Dorner, Vice President of World Sports & Marketing. "We're excited about SeaDoo's involvement in the wakeskate series."

The format for the professional wakeskate tour is a combination of lip tricks and sliders throughout two passes behind the SeaDoo GTX4-TEC Vans Triple Crown Edition. Any rider can challenge in on Saturday to try and make the finals on Sunday. There will also be a points race over the five PWT contests to crown the first ever wakeskate Pro Tour champion.

During the Vans Triple Crown events, riders will be competing for an overall Triple Crown title that will award a brand new Vans Triple Crown Edition SeaDoo. In addition, a National and World wakeskate title will be awarded to the winners.

"Finally some respect for all our hard work," said pro wakeskater Brian Grubb. "After doing demos for the Pro Wakeboard Tour over the last
couple years and showing wakeskating to a broader audience, there is finally a demand for professional and televised wakeskate contests."
