Malibu and Bump School the Wakeskate Nation

(Merced, CA) - Bump Films lassoed Malibu Boats for their latest instructional film. Known as SNAP, this new Bump venture straps the world's greatest wakeskaters to the back of a Wakesetter VLX and goes off. Professional wakeskate riders, like Team Malibu's Brian Grubb, come together to give the next generation of bindingless wake shredders the knowledge to ride well. Scheduled for release on DVD and VHS this spring, SNAP is a must-have tool for all walks of wakeskaters.

This new wakeskate film will cover everything from the basics for newbie's all the way up to the latest tricks being pulled by the pros. SNAP takes you from wakeskating infancy to the wonders of watersports puberty in nothing flat.

"We're really shooting more for the DVD release this time around with a bunch of extras on the menu that you won't see on the VHS version" comments Mark Bame, Co-Producer for Bump Films . "We want to make it not only informative but entertaining as well, with lots of sick free
riding."

SNAP starts from the beginning with detailed information on gear selection as well as tow boat set-up and driving instruction on board a 2003 Wakesetter VLX. Then the film dives into every nook and cranny of the sport of wakeskating itself.

"We are extremely excited to be part of such a comprehensive instructional tool," says Paul Singer, Malibu VP of Sales and Marketing. "The great thing about Bump Films is their ability to produce a in-depth wakeskate reference, blend in awesome film footage and reveal the cool wakeskate lifestyle all behind a Malibu boat."

SNAP teaches water starts and the basics of turning, jumping and learning to ollie. After that solid foundation is established, the film is sectioned into three parts. Those sections include wake tricks, lip tricks (tricks on the lip of the wake), rails and kickers.

"When shooting films like these 'Murphy's Law' often comes into play, whether it be equipment, riders, weather or cameras. We've used four different Malibu's over the course of shooting this film, all have been superb," raved Bame.

Four different 2003 Wakesetter VLXs are used in several different wakeskate settings to provide a professional pull every time. The SV23 Wake Hull goes a long way towards creating the perfect wakeskate ramps. Add Malibu's patented Wedge and the Malibu Launch System (MLS) and the wake crosses into the dream world.

Shot from revealing angles with in-your-face close ups and slow motion exaggeration; SNAP uncovers the secrets behind even the most difficult tricks. On DVD this instructional will take on a life of its own packed with a disc full of extras including: A day in the life of Brian Grubb, towable slider sessions at Byerly's and Watson's, killer freeride sections, and a few other surprises.

The stage behind the Malibus was set for spectacular rides and come this spring those performances will be on display to teach and amaze.
