The Standerd raises the bar again with Book 2.1
April 1st, 2008. Orlando, FL -- The Standerd, a quarterly wake photo journal, is celebrating the release of their fifth issue, Book 2.1. The latest book represents the beginning of year two, solidifying the publication as a mainstay in the action sports industry.
Continuing a trend of rapid growth, The Standerd also announced that Book 2.1 is the first to be carried in Barnes & Noble bookstores nationwide, as well as other retailers and board shops.
Minor improvements were made to the book's layout for year two, including an expanded cover photo and the addition of a new "interview" section called Contact Sheet.
Book 2.1 features a 20-page profile on wake pioneer Darin Shapiro, a 10-page Photo Essay with the Australian riders, and a groundbreaking section from artist and lyricist Swamburger.
Among the book's 120 pages are nearly 500 images from 40 various photographers and six talented designers. Majority of the photographs were shot from the previous three months, providing a unique view into the current lifestyle, action and beauty of wake sports in 2008.
Keeping the content subscriber-focused, the new issue only has three ads. Liquid Force, Fox Racing and Malibu Boats all feature incredible, exclusive photography, adding to the book's quality and uniqueness.
