After an extended hiatus, Blast is back with the original grass roots, wakeskate-specific competition. The competition is set to take place on Saturday, October 13 at McCormick’s ski school. Event organizers are utilizing the rails set up on the lake at McCormick’s, which includes an up to flat rail, a rainbow rail, a dragon rail and a kicker. And the riders will be pulled exclusively by a 2007 Sea Doo Wake Edition PWC. Participating riders will have the option of entering one of three divisions—beginner, advanced or sponsored. There will also be a pool gap and winch event, with the rider with the best trick being crowned the victor.

Registration for the event will take place the day of at 9 a.m., with the riding beginning at 10 a.m. The cost of registration is $35.00, which pays your way into the main event and the pool gap/winch event.

Event sponsors include oak, NEW, Devotid, Sattelyte, UGP, S.P.O.T., Helium and Peter Glenn
