Cassette Visits The Big Easy

By: Dave Barousse

Thomas Horrell and Aaron Reed form Cassette Wakeskates, along with Paco De La Torre from Butter Magazine stopped by New Orleans Board Shop on their way from Orlando, FL to Ft. Worth, TX for the second SeaDoo personal watercraft Pro Wakeskate Series of the season. New Orleans Board Shop owners, John and Tamara Melton, were stoked to have the gang stop by the shop to hang out and so was I. Because I work in the downtown area of New Orleans, I was able to make it uptown to the shop just in time to chill with the guys for a shot time before they continued their journey to Texas. It was great to FINALLY meet Thomas and Paco in person after talking with them via email and phone conversations for so long and hanging out with Aaron is always a good time. Unfortunately, we were unable to go ride, but I think they will be back to check out all of the bayous and swamp lands that we have down south. I think Thomas and Aaron were getting some crazy ideas during the ride to New Orleans when passing some of the water ways. There was even talk of riding on the river front by the Cruise Ships. Those guys must be nuts!

Paco is definitely ready to head back to New Orleans for some crawfish and a night on the town in the French Quarter, so hopefully the gang will make it back soon and we can possibly get some riding in before hitting Bourbon Street.

Thanks to NOBS, Cassette and Butter Magazine for a fun time.
