Time to Recognize the Best in Wake
Danny Harf’s 1080 Video to Premiere at 3rd Annual Wake Awards
Orlando, Fla. – After a huge season of professional wakeboarding and wakeskating, riders and industry gurus are ready to celebrate at the Third Annual WakeBoarding Magazine Wake Awards on Friday. Many additions to this event will make it the biggest to date, especially with a finale showcasing the much-anticipated video release of Danny Harf’s switch heelside 1080, which he landed on Sept. 6. Since then, the clip has been kept private, and WakeBoarding magazine is thrilled to display this footage for the industry leaders and top riders in the world.
A dozen Wake Awards will be handed out in categories including Move of the Year, Best Wakeskater and Best Wakeboarder. The 2005 winner of Best Wake Rider and overall Best Wakeboarder, Danny Harf is looking forward to this year’s festivities. “I think it’s cool to recognize the people who are really pushing the sport, and it’s a great feeling to get recognized in front of all your peers. Every year everyone has a blast, and it really brings the industry together.”
So put on your party hats and be ready to have a great time with the Best in Wake on Friday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. in room S 320 on the third floor of the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. A webcast of the event will follow within a week at wakeboardingmag.com.
