Day One Wakeskating Results From Stop Four Of The Pro Tour

Date: 07-15-06
Author: Wakeskating.com Staff

Today the riders hit the water in Portland, Oregon for the fourth stop of the Professional Wakeskate Tour. The list of riders advancing to the next round included veterans and youngbloods alike, which should make for an entertaining semifinal round on Sunday.

Professional wakeskate tour rookie Aaron Rathy, who placed second in Kelowna last weekend, won his heat in round one and earned himself a spot in tomorrow’s semifinals. Brandon Thomas, who placed second, will also be joining Aaron and the other qualifiers in the next round.

Youngbloods ruled heat two, with teammates Reed Hansen and Matt Manzari coming out on top, allowing them to ride in tomorrow’s round.

Heat three had wakeskating veteran Brian Grubb in the top spot, with James Balzer taking the second qualifying spot.

And in heat four, Kelowna winner George Daniels earned himself a first place, with Scott Byerly grabbing the final spot for tomorrow’s semi-final round.

Stay tuned to see who owns it and who gets owned in Sunday's finals.
