Where's The Book?Author: Wakeskating.com staff
The Clermont Media group, known for their initial DVD instructional release titled The Book Wakeboard Instructional Series, is hard at work and putting the finishing touches on their sophomore instructional release The Book Wakeskating Instructional Series.
The release of this highly anticipated instrctional series has been delayed because of the extra footage that was accumulated. Rather than put this footage to waste, they decided to create a third DVD for the series, which was originally slated to only be two DVDs in length.
One other factor that has held up production is the fact that many action sports videos can take anywhere from six to twelve months to complete. This DVD series has three disks clocking in at roughly 90 minutes each. And according to Kyle Schmidt of the Clermont Media Group: "We didn't want to release an unpolished, rushed product." However, to make up for the delay, the book wakeskating instructional series package is priced at the two disk price for a limited time, rather than the soon-to-be updated three disk price.
With plans to expand this series in the future, its initial release will be divided up, trick wise, as follows: The first disk will be titled "Wakeskate Basics" and it will start with equipment and end with wakeslides. The second disk will be titled "Intermediate Tricks" and it will start with wake jups and it will end with shuvits. Finally, the third DVD will be titled "Advanced Tricks" and it will start with a (heelside) backside 180 and it will end with a backside flip. The riders that will be demonstrating these tricks include The Wakeboard Camp's wakeskating coach, Aaron Reed, Danny Molina, Phillip Basino, Scott Byerly, George Daniels, Silas Thurman, Andrew Beaver, and Vinnie Rizzo.
