Liquid Force steps up to the skate, err, um, the plate. With the recent announcement of the signing of Aaron Reed to the LF stable of riders, it is painfully obvious that Liquid Force intends to take wakeskating much more seriously in the years to come.

Until now, with arguably not the best or at least not the most popular models of wakeskates available, Liquid Force has postured themselves as a wakeboard company that also makes wakeskates. With only a Melissa Marquardt pro model skate, and the incredible growth of wakeskating over the last couple years, the time has come.

Competition brings out the best in everything, and certainly with Liquid Force upping the ante and signing Aaron Reed, more innovation can't be far behind. Currently the "official" word is an Aaron Reed pro model for the 2007 season. Hopefully it will be released as a mid 2006 preview and continuing the hope, a Phillip Basino model will follow.
