Butter: The Book by Eric "Zero" Wallman
The new Butter book is out and available as you read this. And hurry up people, once this thing sells out it is quite possible that Butter will reach cult status in counter culture popularity. This is no ordinary magazine like the Cassette Analog, or some mass produced wakeboard publication with small wakeskate features. The limited edition of only 2500 books is one hundred percent wakeskating.
High resolution pics and high quality material is what pushes this work beyond belief. The new butter mag belongs in a fine arts collection of book collectors, or as a conversation piece on your coffee table. The magazine is in a cool binded book format, with better content and artistic direction than what one will find in a bookstore. Butter is a book you won't want to flip through in school in fear you'll damage it.
To all wakeskate enthusiasts, this is the Ark of the Covenant. Butter has somehow converted wakeskating to what I consider to be a "fine art". You don't even have to wakeskate to enjoy this artistic photo documentary. It simply wows the viewer, lacking the usual dry, regurgitated commentary of those who don't know what's up. Each photo and article expresses a facet of wakeskating most would never even fathom existed. Paco de la Torre has outdone himself, reporting all the latest and most current reports from the front lines. There is more revolution in this hundred thirty some page book than most of you will ever witness. Somebody finally kicked the door down.
