Gearing Up For 2005 In TexasAuthor: TSR Press Release

As the weather begins to cool off in Central Texas, TSR is already hard at work preparing for 2005. TSR has launched a new website, www.texasskiranch.com, with photo galleries for wake, skate and motox. The wakeboard section has over 150 hi res photos of the top riders in the region, as well as those top ranked riders that made trips to TSR like: Andrew Adkison, Zane Schwenk, Brandon Thomas, Keith Lidberg and many more. There is also a photo gallery from FOX's recent dealer appreciation party and photo shoot with Danny Harf and Parks Bonifay. TSR would like to thank MasterCraft and all of those who helped make 2004 great and propel us into the 2005 season.
The 2005 major events that will be hosted by TSR include:
FreeZride (February 25th-26th)
In Texas you never plan on specific weather, you just go with what you get. And as FreeZride athletes prove, you also get what you go for. FreeZride is the premiere of the season's cross-over and multi-sport opportunities at TSR. This cable, boat, and motocross event is the opportunity for us all to be reminded that great athletes aren't just those that have exceptional skill, but those that withstand unknown variables, like rain and cold weather, for the win.
For motocross riders and skateboarders, it's about showing off the skills they've been perfecting all winter; for wakeboarders, it's usually about showing off what talents are forthcoming. At TSR's first FreeZride event, some of the industries up and coming riders debuted and kept the industry talking all year long. FreeZride, like many of TSR's events gives riders the opportunity to show their versatility by combining scores for multiple events such as motocross and wakeboard, and wakeboard and wakeskate, for overall titles.
CableStock (May 14th-16th)
In honor of the esteemed "Woodstock", this festival of wake, skate and motox is celebrated in true fashion with the lifestyle activities to commemorate it: music, beach, bikinis and even a truck and car show to expose the action a little more. A 3-day party and riding weekend, TSR ride passes are sold at a discount to the hoards of followers who travel the miles and hang at TSR for the multi-day event. Cablestock is the perfect event for the action sport enthusiast who lives and loves the action sport and outdoor lifestyle. There will be innovative competitions for the pros on the cable as well as a team competiton on the boat lake. Finally the MotoCross will not be left out by hosting a mini motox race for pit bikes!
In 2004, over 6000 spectators of all ages enjoyed great music, wakeboard tournaments, a climbing wall, Coconutz Bar & Grill, hanging out on the beach, a bikini contest, the cable lake, skate park and motocross practice. The festival atmosphere gave novice riders the opportunity to interact with some of the best athletes that action sports has to offer, sharing the park, the dock, the track, their experiences and more. This is an ideal event where everyone can participate.
TSR TRI-X (June 25th-26th)
In 2004 this event proved that even though juniors may be short on years of experience, they are high on the energy, triumph and skill necessary to endure a 3-day weekend of extreme sport competition. Of course, the titles as well as the $7500 cash purse were a nice incentive to keep them going! The Junior TriX was designed to broaden the action sport competition by expanding the playing field to include athletes in cable wakeboarding, boat wakeboarding, skateboarding, motocross, rock climbing and wakeskating. After the success in 2004 TSR would like to make this event open to Juniors and PROs in 2005.
Athletes registered by ranking six action sport events in order of participation preference. Fast 50 Motox, Boat Wakeboard, Cable Wakeboard, Wakeskate, Rock Climbing and Skateboarding were equally appealing to the juniors. Some chose their preferences by skill level and some by strategy. And interestingly enough, as a group, the most versatile, consistent athletes took home more cash than those that took top single event placements. Junior Tri-X became a "survival of the fittest, most tenacious, most perseverant athlete". And the spectators saw the show to prove it. The head to head rock climbing event, the timed Fast 50 MotoX racing and tough, crazy skateboarding juniors, male and female, all went at it through numerous, competitive, exhausting rounds over the weekend. At the end, the best athletes were not awarded for dominating one event, but rather for their consistency, determination and skill overall.
TSR Fall Festival & Final Showdown (Sept 24th-25th)
Originally slated as TSR's Grand Opening celebration, the attendance and response to this event (over 10,000 in its first year) was too great to only offer once. Designed to push the demographic envelopes of action sports by cross-promoting to other "envelope-pushing" demographics, TSR partnered with Primedia to promote a Monster and Low Rider truck show, vendor village, and also incorporated the Final Showdown wakeboard and wakeskate tournaments on both the Cable Lake and Boat Lake. This $7500 cash prize tournament is the finale of the weekly TSR series held on Thursday nights from the previous summer. In addition, the region's top skateboarders also compete at TSR's skatepark. Unlike most events, but in true festival and TSR style, when competitions aren't utilizing the sport venues, spectators can participate at TSR's cable lake, motox track and skatepark.
