Schreiwer/Stone 2004 Cable WinnersDate: 07-27-2004
The newest cable park to hit North America was the site of the 2004 Cable National Championships. The National Championship event was also the final stop for the 2004 Cable tour which means that National Championships and overall tour titles were at stake.
In the wakeskate division, Stephan Schreiwer rose to the front of the pack and ended his weekend with a first place finish and a National Championship. Last year's champion, Zak Stone finished second and Matt Leitko finished off the top three spots in third place.
After the scores were calculated, Zak Stone ended up on top for the 2004 Cable Tour overall championship. Stone was also awarded the Sportsmanship medal and $100.00 by the YMCA of Greater Kansas City for his consistent example of good sportsmanship and support for cable wakeboarding and wakeskating.
