Ft. Worth Pro Tour Semifinals Results

Date: 5-22-2004

Ft. Worth, TX – The best of the best in the sport of wakeboarding and wakeskating were on display at the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour presented by Chevrolet and GM Vortec engines. Stop NO. 2 of the 2004 season kicked off in front of a fired-up crowd at Ft. Worth's Marine Creek Park on Saturday.

Saturday marks the first time the Pro Wakeboard Tour unveiled the elite format where athletes have to qualify into the event to compete. With stacked heats of the best riders in the world facing off, the competition for spots into Sunday's final rounds was tight.

In the SeaDoo watercraft Pro Wakeskate Series Phillip Basino, Steve Schoenhals, Aaron Reid and Danny Hampson won their heats to earn spots in Sunday's finals. Hampson is looking to make it two wins in a row after winning in Orlando earlier this year. Brian Grubb, the 2003 SeaDoo watercraft Pro Wakeskate Series champion failed to qualify for the first time.

After Ft. Worth, the Pro Wakeboard Tour will continue throughout North America with three additional stops including: Reno, Nevada, June 5-6; Kelowna, British Columbia Canada, June 9-11 and the final event in Irvine, California July 17-18.

The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, presented by Chevrolet and GM Vortec Engines, is a five-event circuit organized by World Sports & Marketing of Orlando, Florida. Powered by Indmar Marine Engines, the Pro Tour has the support of the following: SeaDoo watercraft, Perfect Pass, Hyperlite, Liquid Force, Gator Boards, CWB, Jobe, Double-up, Blindside, JoyRide, O'Brien, Cassette Wakeskates, 484 Wakeskates, Billabong, Reef, Body Glove, UGP, Epiphone Guitars, OJ Props, Chipper Beef Jerky, Bare Wetsuits, buywake.com, Love Sac, Capix Helmets, Indo Boards, Straight Line, Nevin, ten-80, Toyo Tires, KMC Wheels, Verizon Wireless, Execute, Wakeworld, Wakeboarder, Monster Tower, Say I Won't and One Percent Designs.
