Austin Texas Opens First Full Size Cable Park

QuestATX set to open summer 2013 as the most unique cable park in the United States

AUSTIN, Texas - June 12, 2013 - QuestATX, Austin's first and only wakeboard cable park, has officially launched and is set to open to the public in July 2013. Rider owned and operated, the 130-acre complex will be a world class wakeboarding facility equipped with a 6-tower Sesitec system, UNIT Parktec rails and a System 2.0. With ambition to be a complete action sports destination while encompassing Austin's 'Keep It Weird' vibe, QuestATX is set to be one of the most unique cable parks in the United States.

"Not only are we thrilled to be opening a cable park, but we're especially excited to be opening in Austin," said Earl Ball, Owner and Operator at QuestATX. "We've lived here for years and feel like it's been a long time coming for Austin to have a local cable park. Austin has such an active lifestyle and we feel like this is something the city deserves."

Although the facility has plans to significantly expand into a complete action sports complex, this year QuestATX will focus on building the local cable wakeboard community. The park will offer private lessons with professionals, summer camps and will rent the space for parties and events. The facility lends well to beginners, as well as the most advanced wakeboarders in the world.

"We want to establish a strong cable wakeboarding community in Austin and introduce the sport to people of all ages and skill levels," continues Ball. "As we grow, so will our facility. We have 130 acres of land waiting to be molded into an action sports paradise and expect 2014 to be packed with events and new developments."

QuestATX is scheduled to open its doors in July 2013 and will be open seven days a week from 11am to 8pm. The park is located at 10815 Fm 1625, Austin, TX 78747, only four miles from the new Circuit of the Americas track.
