So you guys cannot close the dew ad only on phone. I will check into that. I did not see any problems closing it on regular browsers.

flixmaster, I cant close it on firefox either. The ad scrolls with the page as i try to get to the close button at the bottom. The only way for it to go away is to watch the whole video.

flixmaster, It is also a problem for users with slower internet as it waits to download before you can do anything. In general, it creates a really poor user experience and needs to be removed.

They just informed me that it is a 1 per day video and that we should be able to have it closed. I am having them try and figure it out.

If you can't close it on a desktop browser, then go to your browser's settings and zoom out, which will shrink the ad. That's what I've been doing to close it.

I've suggested it before, but can you just open a Paypal donation page and we can toss some money in that to help cut back on ads?

Pop-up anything is a bummer. I'd definitely donate to the site if it means we can cut that kinda stuff out.

There seems to be a lot of elitism in wakeskating. I really notice it with The Wakeskate Tour. It seems like if you're not "in" you're out.
They make it really hard on the fans. We want to support the tour and the riders, but we aren't even allowed to know who won the heats, or what tricks are going down til its over. How are we supposed to root for our favorite riders or have discussions if we are totally in the dark?

I know wakeskating isn't a typical sport, but it still has fans. And it is way too much work to be a fan. We have to scour instagram for maybe a couple of pics and a vague reference to how the comp is going.

The Wakeskate Tour needs to have a social media intern or whatever. I think fans of wakeskating deserve it.

wakemitch, You took some words right out my mouth. I completely agree with what you are saying here. Last year was really hard to find out who was making it through on the rounds or any info/pics for that matter and I figured with the discussion that was had after the Tour, this year would have changed a little.

Like you said, yes wakeskating is a different sport and we all understand funds are tight. But how much effort does it require to take a few shots of a piece of paper and write a little blurb about it.

I get so excited the wsTour is going on then it loses it's luster and I pretty much forget about it b\c I can't figure out what the heck is going on...

I'm pretty sure a majority of serious wake fans don't even know there is such a big event going on this weekend. It's like it is a secret.

The Wakeskate Tour has read what you've posted & they want this to be the best thing in wakeskating for everyone. Live updates should now be going out on Facebook (The Wakeskate Tour), Instagram (@thewakeskatetour), and at www.thewakeskatetour.com

I did a few live updates in The Wakeskate Tour 2013 thread, but now I've gotta go put my shoes on & stretch Very Happy

Thanks so much for the updates Nick! They are much appreciated.
The quarter finals seem insane.

Not to take anything away from Reed Hansen, but a back lip has already been done on that pipe in the fox teaser. There's a lot of different tricks that haven't been done down that gap to do the same thing over again.

That was a warm up. His ad is actually a back lip shuv out, which hasn't been done.

I am really stoked on Aaron Reed's Obscura ad in the Aug/Sept issue of Alliance.
He is one of the few veteran wakeskaters still staying relevant.
