Anybody find a good place for winch line? I have bought fron Ken in the past but I am looking for a non-coated rope. Found the Amsteel at West marine any wholesale places you guys have found?

off topic, but could a skate video be called "winch the line" and feature johnny cash music? at least the opener and closer

Use Amsteel size 7/16.
It is cheap and works real good.

Alliance UK/Red Bull did a rail jam that was called Wake the Line. I'll see if I can dig up a link in a bit...

I've done both 7/64 and 1/8. My vote is the 1/8'' for a few different reasons...
1- A little thicker; easier on the hands if you need to assist with pulling out the rope.
2- More surface area to rub on your fairlead/bare metal. In other words, harder for the rope to burn through...
3- Obviously a bit stronger
4- & it takes up pretty much the same amount of space on the spool.
