me and my brother (poopskater) are working on a wakeskate. we're getting our measurements from the board you see laying on the ground in the 2nd pic. we'll hopefully be done soon, but our sandpaper keeps ripping because the edges are so sharp on the concave right now.

it weighs 9 pounds right now, so i'm thinking we're not doin too bad weight-wise.

WHAT DO Y'ALL THINK?

did you get the measurements from an integ? is that a wooden integrity...?
Laughing

thats sick your making your own board man, did you just use a sheet of plywood for the deck, or did you ply the wood yourself?

Gnarly Dancer 42, that looks sick. I've been wanting to do this for a while. Did you actually use nine full plys for the deck and then add the concave? Or is it like 5-6 plys and then 3-4 layers for concave? I've seen some pics from other homemade boards that look like they are only like 5-6 plys thick all together. Anyway, congrats on a great looking board and I hope she rides well. Cool

mc.willz, im pretty sure its 15 maybe 15.5

Le Jalapeno, yep, hopefully it wont fall apart Laughing

bob., yes i used that wooden integ u see in the background Wink

my brother made the flat deck, he just cut out 3 plys and pressed them to an old wood concave

fletch, we found the thinnest wood we could find at home depot, which ended up being 3 plys, so we just used 3 sheets to make it 9. thanks man, right now i'm more concerned about if it "looks like a good wakeskate" than if it actually rides good, but if it rides good thats a bonus. Smash

-=AlexXx=-, it dosent cost that much to make a wakeskate

Gnarly Dancer 42, it might help you but idk but you can buy wood filler and put it were the concave pieces meet the board to make it nice and smooth and not waist time having to sand that perfect

bmr712, nah i used this drill bit that works really good, i got all the major sanding done in like an hour

-=AlexXx=-, ya this probably only costs us 25 bucks max. it might cost more if you dont already have a the right tools though.

i'll post pics of the newly sanded concave in a sec
