Details Surrounding Obscura

So I'm sure most of you have heard the news or read the brief blog announcement on alliance wake about danny and aaron's new project called Obscura a couple of weeks ago. At this point, Obscura is basically in the earliest stages it could possibly be in, which is basically just beyond an unspoken idea. I wanted to squeeze out much more information from those guys about obscura, but for now, these are the details that can be released: http://www.wakeskating.com/showarticle.php?a=666

In addition to what's not in that write up, I can tell you that despite the fact that there is not a solid release date set, they do have a prototype. Beyond that, patience will be your best friend.

I don't know...I've been fans of aaron and danny since those guys were blowing up and making memories on cassette, so it's really cool to see them evaluate their position and increase their involvement in wakeskating. I think this will be a really good thing for wakeskating as well, and it's going to be fun to watch it all take shape.

A) they'll have wakeskates and various accessories--not JUST wakeskates

B) From what I understand, it's not like byerly's deal (not that there's anything wrong with that, or SHOULD be anything wrong with it). And it's not like cassette either, because cassette was thomas' and was simply licensed to LF.

So it's still under liquid, but it's a movement within the company. but yeah, the boards and aesthetic will be different from what LF does. As it was described to me, it's something that will be a little bit more up to speed with what aaron and danny are about--I'm sure you can imagine what that will be like.

electricsnow, my money says that they go with a more traditional bi-level. I know that they both loved them, and I speculate more so than what the SST has to offer. What do you think esnow? I know that you like the bi-levels, would that not be rad? I also would like to speculate that Thomas is brought on in some way, shape or form... Smash

i am soo pumped for their skates / company thingy., Danny hampson has always been my favorite rider of all time. i cant get enough of watching him ride! if these wakeskates are anything like a cassette than i'm gonna be happier than a homo with a sack full of d!cks!!!
