if the board is falling behind you and you are going over the front of the board it sounds like you aren't throwing the board around with your back foot enough. Have you practiced on carpet yet? thats a good place to start _________________ integrity-wake.com | chriscut.com |

Scoot your front foot back a few inches and put a little more weight on your back foot... shouldn't this be in the trick tips forum? _________________ √ |

how come this isnt under trick tips???
well anywya my advice is set up like a normal shuvit but get a little more speed and pop it and throw it the same as a shuvit but a little harder and try to catch the board a 270 it helps with the landing and foot positioning and try to catch the board with youre feet as wide apart as possible and land with youre knees bent and its best to land with a bit mroe weight on youre back foot tehn youre front _________________ You only live life once so live it to the fullest

if you have ever skated and were ever a poser that wanted to 360 flip and just kept hucking the board as hard as you could, you do that exact same thing on a wakeskate, only the board just spins 360 cause its too big to flip using that method. iono thats how i did it. _________________ 407-212-7425 |

just check the sig.....
hahaha sorry, too tempting just had to do it lol
seriously tho, I have the exact same prob as you on my 3 shuvs that's keeping me from having them consistent. 90% of my falls on that trick are me bouncing off over the nose on the landing.
I try to focus on sending the board more forward with my back foot when poping the trick.
But what helped even more (like on the one I landed in my sig) is I focused on pulling the damn handle close to my lead hip when I iniate the spin. After that it's just too confusing to focus on keeping the handle close I just focus on the board spining to catch it and bring up a HUGE mental note: SPREAD THE DAMN FEET YOU whimp, don't let the good old split hold you back
To help on that feet spreading problem gate-rider's advice looks awsome... I also noticed many people grab the board 270 on the way down and rotate the last 90 with the feet on the board. You slam the board down with the last 90 and it's much easier to have your feet spread out like that (for me at least lol, it's just like a 90 shuv to front lip!!! ) Never tought of doing that, thanks gate _________________

I learned it like a re-entry 3 shuv. I got consistent once I figured out the right feet position before I kicked the shuv. I scoop back my front foot a little bit and more to my toeside edge, from there I just think ollie+hard pop shuvit. Kick your backfoot around hard! Don't think 3 shuv the first attempts, it usually causes that you'll lose your board or don't pop it high enough. Focus on the re-entry ollie and kick a hard shuvit! Spot the board the entire time and catch it once it has rotated 360 degrees. Stomp it and land with a little more weight on your heelside egde or you'll slip out. Throw the handle and enjoy the cheers from the boat........ _________________ _____________________________
