... silly guy!! Haven't seen the new batch yet but you already know they are amazing. Get real!

I will tell you one thing, the new batch will still delaminate! Why? Because it's wood!!!

Maybe the Bi-Level is a great design but it has so many curves and corners in it, water will always come between the sheets.

If Cassette wil stay on the case they have to look out for other base material, seriously.

Morphine; I haven't ridden the bi-level but i saw a new one at the expo in Germany. It was already delaminating before it has seen water!!

No offens but there were large openings between the sheets in the corners of the top deck at the point where the kicktail starts.

But hey, its from Cassette so it good Wink

I wonder why Cassette is still working with wood, it has costs them lots of time/money/trouble. I would say. the 2006 mission for Cassette would be other base material. If they start with composite I am sure all of you guys here on the forum like it, because it is from Cassette.

Ok...so I hardly ever feel the need to post on this site, but I check it out daily and have done so since the old message boards existed (for all you elitists that look at post counts).

But seriously, there
1. does NOT need to be a new topic every time someone hears or sees that a Bi-Level delaminated or cracked.

2. needs to be a realization that wood and water don't mix....and delamination and warping are going to occur. Despite this, Cassette chooses wood because thats what they feel offers the best skate feel.

3. needs to be a live and let live philosophy---everyone has to throw in their flippin' ride a _________ deck after every post. Ride the deck you like for the reasons that you have to ride it and get on with life. People can educate themselves and make a choice on their own without "political" quips in every post.

Posting about boards breaking or this company is wrong etc does nothing but make people look like a bunch of petty kooks.

Cassette does their thing, Integrity does theres and Hype, LF etc all do theirs. Ride what you like and support who you want to support.

And ALWAYS believe everything you read on the internet.

So what do retailers do in this situation? The odds that all the first batch of boards delaming are slim (but many of them will as I've been hearing), but will the retailers like wakside just hang on to the old batch and sell them with the mix of the new batch? I'm just wondering if Cassette called the first set of boards back or what, not that big of a deal, but what's going on with that?

I highly doubt that all of the decks will delam or crack... well in due time depending on how hard you ride/care for your deck has alot to do with this. But ITCH has made it quite clear that if you have a deck that has problems to contact the retailer you bought it from and they should arrange to replace it for you or send it back to cassette and have a replacement sent to you.

If you have no luck with the retailer you you purchased your deck from then contact ITCH or cassette directly and the problem will be resolved.

IMO: Cassette should of maybe gotten a little more info on who is mass producing the decks due to the fact that the manufacturer skipped the whole thought of marine sealant in the first batch.

For some reason i think alot of you expect to never hear or see a board break from ANY company... All wood decks from any company have proven that they are not bullet proof and will delam over time, when things are mass produced they are never 100% flaw free and there is always a percentage of decks that slip through and do break or delam. THIS IS WHY WE ALL HAVE A WARRANTY on our decks, Remember that we all know that wood and water dont mix well... when it comes to durability. Although boards that are made of other materials are not flawless, im sure there are those of you that have broken a wakeboard or a compression molded skate. its just a fact of life.

I cant speak for the other companies, but at Premier are all trying to make wood decks that are more durable. And i think we have succeeded to do that, but again things are never perfect.

Those of you that spend so much time here talking and keeping the rumors going about this company or that company should go out and spend a little more time on the water riding your board hard enough to break it.

Thanks SLEU you nailed it.
As I have stated in previous posts we issued a call back from all retail shops on ALL the extra boards. And no all the boards from the first batch will delam and if you are on your second board then your secound is from the first batch if you don't have problems don't worry about it until IF it does. My advice is if you have a first batch ride that thing hard stomp those landings. Don't mistreat it just ride it hard. ANY questions just ask me don't ask the board that just starts inuendo's and rumor's.

I emailed Thomas and this is what i got

Hello! Your board could be one of the first decks that got sent out
that might have had the wrong glue pressed in it. We're almost done
with the next batch of decks with the right glue and a super sealant
that protects the boards longer than anything we've ever put out. Just
ride the board that you got from Boardstop, and let me know how it goes,
and if you have a problem at all, we'll replace the deck and you'll be
good to go.

Thanks for the support and congrats on buying the best wakeskate going,

thomas

Hopefully this will answer some of ur questions

On friday Thomas said they had to cure for one week, thus I believe Headhunters estimate next week would be on point.
