My thoughts on this:

First of all, bummer. He seemed to fit so well on lakai. Hopefully it is some kind of joke/marketing scheme and he is not actually off lakai, but technically off lakai. Know what I mean?

If it is all for real (probably is), I think he would be a pretty nice addition to this new etnies team that is being formed. Especially if sheckler gets dropped. Just think; malto, taylor, bledsoe, leeper, dill, rojo with the addition of koston. Pretty stacked. Only teams to come close, lakai and nike. But would he really go back to sole tech? Not sure.

Then there's the whole ownership/being involved with the companies he rides for thing he seems to enjoy. Could he be starting a new shoe company? Doubtful given these TETs and the already over saturated skate shoe market. But, if anyone's name can sell skate shoes, it's koston.

Truth is, he'll probably end up on nike. He is a sneakerhead after all. I can picture him in the shoes and being on the team. It probably is the second best fitting shoe company for him after lakai. I just hope he gets AT LEAST p-rod status on the team, hopefully more. Maybe even his own sub-brand kind of deal similar to jordan. I don't think that is unwarranted or undeserved. It is koston after all.

Id love to see him start his own company, but like the skeezer mentioned above, its pretty unlikley seeing as how there are so many companies already in the show business... but it would be sick never the less, the berrics could do some major work, but they are already sponsered by DC and DVS... so hmm... I thought that same thing about Nike as soon as i saw that video. I think that would be sick to get nike into The Berrics.... and truthfully after all the Battle of the Berrics promotion and such i think nike might have seen it and gone, DAMN alot of kids visit this site. Lets get some nike in that. But... I think there are many skaters who think wearing nikes is like selling out because its a "big corporation" and you should only buy from the skater ownedish... brand names etc... Whatever it may be only time will tell, Personally id love to see him on Nike. Nike is doing so much for wakeskating, over the past 4 years ive completely changed my views on them and would love to see kostons name on a shoe, they would deff be pretty gnarly i bet! Smash

The berrics really has no specific sponsors. Seems like any company (to some extent) can advertise on there. Sure dvs did batb but theres ads for companies that have no connection to steve or eric like ccs and quik and real. So nike wouldn't have to pick up any of those guys to get involved, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt.

i agree with alex. a few years ago nike , along with oakley, to me were lame companies catering to lame people, but both companies have done a lot for wakeskating and wakeboarding and have pretty dope teams

scott a, Well Koston is a sneaker head so you never know but i don't think he's on nike right now becuase he also is wearing vans in a wednesday with reda.

why does everyone rag on nike so much. they do so much for every sport but everyone still hates on them. think about it, if we didn't have nike, there would be no sb or 6.0. so for us that means that raging pull would never have existed which was a huge step in the right direction for winching, rails, and more skate style riding that was never show cased by a company that could actually throw down money. i mean if all corporate are bad then we shouldn't just bash on nike. redbull, quiksilver, billabong, reef etc. should all be thrown under the same bus and they all do more for our sport then any rider based companies.

Andrew MassIVE, no ones bagging on nike other than koston, thats why everyones so shocked. He was caught calling out P Rod for going to Nike and now theres a rumor he may possibly go to Nike.

nike just has gone overboard with the shoes man. those high top weird things that people like ghetto "strangers" would wear are aweful. i like shoes too. but nike has taken bad style to a whole new level. if the 80's were cool then it wouldnt be one of the worst decades in history. oh and child labor is bad and they use tax shelters.
