So I have been looking for a new compression molded board for the new season starting, and I have been looking at these. The regular catalyst is $10 cheaper, and I am open to the grip/foam combo. I was just wondering what you guys think is a all around better board. I am looking for a compression molded because right now I am riding a Kampus K39, which I love, but is slowly deteriorating and is giving me a bit of a hard time going W2W. Another reason I like the Catalyst is that it has molded channels, which would help. And I would love to get an Integrity or something, but those are out of my price range. And nothing is even close to being finalized, so I am very open to suggestions. Thanks!

I have both shapes, I prefer the Caty 2.0 mostly because of size. but the normal Caty is definatley solid, would be my main board if it were 107 and gripped. Its what I learned W2W stuff on.

Doesn't the 2.0 have a different shape than the 112. I know that the 2.0 is gripped and the 112 is combo grip/foam. Brian Grubb wanted the board to have grip/foam cause on w2w stuff he said with grip it vibrated too much.

ok, thanks everyone! CapriSunAllNatural, what do you prefer about the shape of the 2.0? And that is kinda the reason I wanted a board like this, to better my w2w and stuff. Because as long as my K39 holds out, its pretty good for tech tricks and stuff.

I think i like the shape of the catalyst better actually, but i wasn't digg'n the size, or the foam. The 2.0 is solid though, it has a more tradional concave, where as the Catalyst's concave goes all the way to the nose and tail. that is why i felt like i had so much more control w2w with the catalyst. THe wider chanels on the catalyst are a little more effective too I think.

But now I'm am doing all my w2w stuff with the 2.0 just as well, I just like the size better, and the grip tape.

ok....I think i'm going to go for the regular caty 112. I like that it has concave the full length, and i've found one al ot cheaper then I can find the 2.0. But one last question: they should both hold out about the same in the long run, right? I know they're compression molded but I just want to make sure. Thanks to everyone so much!

Both my 2.0 and catalyst are the same year, both have hit rails and docks, and both are holding up well.
