I am new to wakeskatin, ive only gone out once, and I was wonderin, since I got the 42 lf controle, I was wondering if once the foam wears off or once you want to take it off if you can grip or or refoam it? If this is a stupid question dont flame me, like I said im new to this. I did search, but didn't find anything. _________________ 2 Hands Working Do More Than 1000 Hands Praying |

the same way you do a skateboard, get 3 sheets of the grip put in on the way you want it and then cut off the excess and CABLA yoo got a griped board. _________________ l_o/------------------------<l |

| just start to tear it off...it takes alot of pealing and scraping and then get some rubbing alcohol and work at it forever.....once you get it off...buy w/e color grip you want off of www.flictwakeskating.com place it on the top and either cut offf the extra or use a metal file and scrape around the whole deck.....good luck |

provin1327, Heat up the foam with a blowdryer or leave it out in the sun for a bit to loosen up the adhesive. Then it should peel off pretty easily. Then just grip the deck like you would a skateboard. If you don't know how to do that, check out this little instructional.

i love this forum wait do you need 3 sheets of grip or one?http://flictwakeskating.com/store/cart.php?target=product&product_id=5&category_id=4
here it says you need one, is it because its wider then regular skateboard grip? Can I just go down and buy a sheet or 2 of skate grip? _________________ 2 Hands Working Do More Than 1000 Hands Praying |

| Also, mineral spirits work much faster and more effectively at removing the leftover adhesive from grip removal. |

| if you make sure to heat the adhesive well then all the glue will come off with the foam. if not be ready for some serious elbow work. |

provin1327 buy from flict, its much easier using one sheet of grip rather than piecing together pieces, plus it looks better. _________________ -Jordan Schwaller

| pretty much. i did one a few weeks ago. i just let it sit in the sun for like 10 minutes and the foam came off in one piece with all the glue still on the foam. im not sure where you live so the sun might not be hot enough anymore in that case use a hair dryer or heat gun |

DO NOT USE MINERAL SPIRITS OR PAINT THINNER. Those are used to remove things as strong as epoxy. Which means if you use it on a wood board you damage the sealant. To be honest you dont even need to take off the old adhesive. All you need to do is heat it back up with a hair dryer and put the new grip on.
Also for peeling off the foam you can get a razor blade and lightly scrape when you get snags. |
