Since I'm completely afraid to click the RSS feed button (out of fear that we'll have 100 messages on here telling you about article x), I'm personally letting you know that we just put up an article about the new dvs wake film.

many of you have seen the holiday trailer on their site, but as it turns out, that isn't the "official" trailer (it's just something fun), so there's more to look forward to. Anyway, here's the link:

I thought the holiday trailer was lame. This movie had better blast doors down because I am tired of dropping 30 bucks for 20 minutes of riding and 10 minutes of boys playing grab ass. In Its Travels was a big step in the right direction. Would you rather watch Hampson and Reed dance around suggestively in spring suits or drop hammers on their skates? Thought so.

That teaser was Gay, I have SO LITTLE RESPECT FOR THEM NOW !!! Its retarded. How old is all that Footage ? I'm sure there going to put new stuff in the video but How bad is it when your using footage thats that far out of date. I Honestly dont think they take wakeskating seriouse enough to make it in the NEW market that has become Wakeskating, Wakeskating is taking off and if you ask me (in the words of Jack Black) The DVS team/Managment is "going to be a tiny little foot note on Wakeskating's EPIC A$$" If they dont get with it.

Oh and that video where they were in Havasu was COOL Rolling Eyes

Wow, it's unfortunate that a few people don't have a sense of humor. Not only was it stated that the holiday trailer isn't the official trailer, but you didn't even have to pay for it. Furthermore, these guys have ALWAYS been lighthearted. To take a freaking trailer THAT serious and just become straight up offended is insane.

The bug, what wakeskating video out there has 20 minutes of riding and 10 minutes of grab ass? I don't have that one but I definitely need to get it.

Pirate, you're the one who's always saying that your favorite rider is the one who's having the most fun. Maybe to them, having fun is straight up having a ridiculous sense of humor and not taking everything so serious at a team photo shoot. Anyway, so is what you say actually sincere? You know, about the importance of people having fun and what not?

Furthermore, the talent that DVS has on their wakeskate team is ridiculously deep, so I'm not too worried about anything wack coming out of this. One reason I wanted to do this write up with them is because they do some of the coolest shizzle for their team, and on top of that, all of those riders are insanely progressive. (do you even need to question riders like reed hansen and aaron reed? And not to mention the fact that danny hampson is now riding and thomas proved through "adrift" that he's still quite capable of throwing down a wakeskate, despite his absence from the media) They are the original skate company that has supported wakeskating from the start. They didn't bail like DC and they didn't hop on the bandwagon late like a few other companies. From those original red and black shoes that had everyone wondering what was going on, to their dresdens and kenyans for buywake...they straight up made a wakeskating shoe for wakeskaters. And on a personal note, their trend setting leaves me with some pretty fond memories. To question their dedication to wakeskating, especially when they're coming out with a team video is baffling. In my opinion, it's an HONOR to have a wakeskating video come from a company like DVS.

Anyway, I guess they're doing a team photo shoot this coming week, and the "real" trailer will be ready in a few weeks. And I don't know if either of you were at all impressed with what aaron reed put together for volume's issue number two, but I know that they've held back footage for this video. In the mean time, you might want to lighten up and relax your cool guy facades...

I also feel like saying (because I'm like, Oh, I don't know, MAAADD mouthy) that just because some footage is dated doesn't mean it's OUTDATED. There are skate videos that have taken two years to film (sorry was one that was pretty retarded,and "yeah right" wasn't filmed overnight, either). That's not to say that all of the footage is two years old, but if it's hotter than hot, it needs to be seen!

The Bug I too am tired of paying big bucks for a vid that only ends up being a few minutes of riding. You may have not liked the Holiday Teaser but don't let that make up your mind about the actual vid. From what esnow wrote, the Holiday Trailer isn't even the real trailer, just something to watch for now. I can't wait to see the real trailer and movie.

PIRATE How do you have so little respect for a company NOW because all they did was make a funny little video available for us to watch. Had you begun to lose respect for them over the years and this is the final straw or did you just decide to hate on it cause today is Thursday and Thursday is hate on DVS day?They've been on wakeskates for a long time, having fun. Isn't that all we're supposed to be doing? And what does it matter how old the footage is? does it lose its style over time? I can't wait to see it and I'm sure deep down inside you can't either.

Maybe your anger comes from the broken glass at your launch, that I could understand, that would probably upset me as well but man...this vid is going to be tight and I think you'll really be missing out if you don't check it out when its released.

I probably worded that wrong, I think everyone that rides for DVS is a VERY GOOD RIDER, I do stand by my statement that Its always about the guy having the most fun, WAKESKATING !!! i dont think wakeskating has to much "grab ass" in it, Maybe my beef is this, Weve been waiting for this video to come out for how long ? And then when a teaser hits the web ........ Bam its old footage, stuff weve seen already. So yes that is very dis-inchanting in my book. And for the Record what i'm saying is there are a WHOLE LOT OF COMPANY"S THAT WANT TO PUSH WAKESKATING AND THERE PRODUCTS my question is, Does the DVS Managment want it bad enough to beat them ? I LOVE that there a privatly owned company, i love that its not Sol-tec...... BUT I AM DISAPOINTED that this video is 2 years in the making and the first glimpse we see is Piss Poor at best. Now i'm not questioning the riders, AR,DH,RH, all those dudes love wakeskating, we'll actually i think AR loves Skating more but whatever.

I think my little respect thing has to do with the whole breaking a bottle and my utter dismay for MV and what ive heard him do...... I think the whole throwing beer at Chase has still left me with a fowl taste in my mouth, What if I did that to Nicky-T or Reed hanson, you would all think I was the biggest jerk in the world but since it was Chase (who gets little to NO love from the WS industry) Everyone pass's it off. Do I have any right to feel this way ? NO but thats just the way it is. Love it or Leave it. I'm real, i'm Real NIce, i'm real honest, I'm Real.

And lastyly i love yo uall, I'm sure A.Reeds part and R.hansens parts are going to be crazy, i know i'll love thomas's part because he is the Mike.V of wakeskating.

Sure wakeskating is cool or "FUN". But the scene some of you create that portrays wakeskating is so LAME, I mean LAME. You make it out to be the biggest poser sport ever invented.

The funny thing as well is that you attack the Company or people involved that are not like that. The ones with True Style and original ideas that are trying to make it appeal to the skate industry.

Have you ever asked a Pro Skater about Wakeskating? If they even acknowledge there is a such thing as wakeskating they are not eager to learn anything about it. Come on dude.

You should be trying to act cool or make fun of something else casue this is old shi!t

Start rambling about your political beliefs or how David Copperfield pulled a wood wakeskate out your as# at the show in Vegas.

To some people, wakeskating is a lifestyle. And with some of those people, they might want to keep things light and have some fun with their friends (even if it is, god for bid, off the water and is actually used in a fun video trailer). Is it that bad to show people what that team is like off the water? (Like, actually a true team that gets along and knows how to have some fun.) If you can't laugh at their dancing, then yes, sulk in your own bitterness and the WEB OF LIES. (I made that last part up. I just wanted that "web of lies bit" to add some drama.)

And I still think it's funny that having a lighthearted video trailer some how equates to DVS not caring enough to (ahem) "beat" the competition. Lord knows their shoes suck and they really don't do anything for wakeskating or their team. SWEET MOTHER OF PEARL, I CAN ONLY SMELL THE STENCH OF FAILURE AND BETRAYAL!

Finally pirate, I say you should go and be a professional skateboarder if you can't give yourself and others credit for what they do and what they choose to push (which is wakeskating). Skating is sick, but I simply cannot stand it when people can't get behind and respect (and give that respect to) what they do. Two days ago I threw adrift in the DVD player at work (keep in mind that it's winter and most dudes are going to want to see some other dudes with massively baggy snow pants and "neck-er-chiefs" on--I think you know what I mean with this whole "gangsta flair" thing going on in snowboarding these days). To get back to the point, people were totally hyped on it, and the only negative thing I heard from some dude was that there's so much set up time. (like having to run back to the start up point--trivial things in the long run, really.) To have random skaters and snowboarders want to stop and check out that dvd was a pretty good feeling...Red Bull did a great job with that project, and the guys that were actually on that trip are doing something great with the way they are trying to push wakeskating. And I think it's worthy to note that three of those four riders are tied to DVS and the whole cause of bringing something legitimate and respectable to the water. Back tails...bigspin front boards...boardslide bigspin out...holla!

In all honesty: I know this video will be good, DVS does make good wakeskate shoes. There team rips, they do push it, and I support them 100%.......

pirate, I was so depressed. I was working at the shop and there's this dude who's sweet, but i wanted to be like "someone should tell him that his crotch is by his knees." I think the actual waist of his pants was underneath his actual arse. And then the pant legs were so tight...and everyone around here is white and is totally working class,but they have their baggy gear and their "neck-er-chiefs"...I made some jokes to them about brokeback mountain, but they all fell on deaf ears. I don't have anything against that critically acclaimed film what so ever, but cowboys and gangstas wear that functional piece of neck flair...not gangsta snowboarders.

It's like 1992 here.

The kids are over steezin, so you'd best watch yourself. The people I know are super nice, but they're also super into flair.

Finally, it's not really all that fun when people take a dump on something I believe in. Then I get all heated and what not...and then I sit behind my computer and put on a "neck-er-chief" of my own and start typin' tuff...
