Because its easy to trick people into paying 30k for a "wakeboarding" boat. Therefore they take advantage. _________________ The aforementioned postings and musings are the opinions of myself in their entirety and are not the opinions of wakeskating.com |

there aint nothin wrong with it trip133riderz, , if u cant afford a 50,000 dollar boat,(which alot of people cant) these type of boats work perfectly. my dad has a Cobalt i/o and it puts out as good of a wake as a mastercraft or nautique, it just isnt a "wakeboard" boat if u catch my drift. _________________ They call me Dr. Jones

A jet boat puts out a good wake, ain't no malibu; but when i fill the sack on my sea-doo X20 I can go big.
My friend just got a yamaha AR230, it has two jets, his wake is nice also.
Besides you don't need a monster wake for wakeskating. _________________ dbanana wrote:

| Those boats really aren't that bad. The canal i live on is really shallow, so my only option was a jet boat. I actually looked at both of those at our local dealership. I ended up going with a Sea-Doo and slapped a tower on it. It's a lot like the AR210 but made by sea doo. The only reason we went with ours is because the seating arrangement is much better. The wake is actually decent, the only complaint i have is that it takes a while to get on plane when weighted and if you edge out super hard it's pretty easy to rock the boat side to side. |

yea b/c there is no prop u can pull the boat around pretty easily. i also find that it is difficult to maintain a consistent speed with jet boats. theyre fun tho _________________ "it is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation." |

| Yeah, the speed thing is definately an issue, takes a while to get used to keeping speed. the fun thing is though, they drive like a giant jet ski so you can powerslide em pretty good. Although them inboards can pull a mean 180. |

trip133riderz,
I have a 17 ft i/o with a tower. Its not a "fakie wakebaord boat"
Its a perfect wakeskate boat.
Not everyone can afford Natiques. |

| Like 3 years ago I tried getting up on a skate deck behind my friends 15hp lund...I tried like 25 times and I would just get dragged...sometimes we wakeskate behind it, but mostly either behind his fakeboard boat or my 16ft outboard. |

| hyperlite640, pretty sure your cobalt or whatever i/o you have does not put a wake as any inboard. your very wrong there. im sure its a great boat and you have fun with it. but it can not put a wake out like a mastercraft. |
