If you would feel more comfortable installing something from Msfot...this codec install should also do the trick: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/format/codecdownload.aspx

Ok, first of all, Im on a mac.

I downloaded the linked divx for OS X and then tried to play it. All I got was music.

Now I restarted and it plays when I click the link.

So, try installing the divx then restarting.

vance, ah, you are probably saying it worked for you....my bad.... Yeah, you probably already have the codec pack installed then.

Sometimes Divx and WMP are screwey and don't like to work with each other very well.
Here is a little utility that will work with the file called vlc media player. It's not the best media player out there, but it has almost all of the codecs that you will ever use built in, so it will pretty much play any video file if you can't get them to work in regular players.

-note: I don't use this program when I don't have to, just b/c WMP works for me pretty much all of the time, but this is handy when WMP remembers that it was made by Microsoft, and decides to start sucking.

yep vlc is very good, helps playing those funky format files...

and yeah as Greg T said you need to reboot after installing divx for it to work Wink

It's an 04, I got it from Dave, it's the same one Kampus sent to him for his review for this site. I love the way it rides, but I've only gotten to ride like 3 times since I got it.

it should play just fine if you have the latest divx codecs.

I have another version in .wmv I can upload but it's bigger: 40 Mo
