| so im new here...and im not really new to wakeskating, so i finally got my own board, and i bought it off ebay, its a Butter Boards Concave 40 with the foam top. Now for the questions... 1)has anyone ridden or read a review on this board? 2)how hard will it be to redo the top with grip tape? all inquiries welcome |

I don't know anything abuot this board, but if it's as Evan says, then just ride it till it delams. Sicne you're new, see how you like wakeskating and if you like it buy a new board otherwise you can always find nice used boards from people here. _________________ :colorless: -> http://falic.parsethis.net <- |

justanotherboarder, to redo the grip leave the board out in the hot sun or take a hair dryer to it. basically you want the glue to melt and let up, then you shoul be able to get that junx off. _________________ JMU |

Put it out in the sun for a few hours, huge bubbles will pop up in the foam, then you just peel it off... that works best _________________ √ |

| Nick Taylor, ya leave it in the sun, took like 5 mins to get all of the foam off, and if u got a hairy paddle laying around, taht works great. |

| so just a lil 411 on this skate, its a great skate, maybe a lil heavy but most concaves are, the board has excellent pop and the foam even isnt so bad, i dont know how the original laminate is, but i put 3 coats of some Home Depot urethane (rolled it on) and it help up like a champ, no problems what so ever. in my eyes it was a great purchase...80 bucks for a concave...but hey, thats just my 2 cents... |

just have fun with it. dont let any of the guys here with low level sponsorship deals tell you that what you have is garbage.
worst case scenario is that your board gives you problems. if that happens then you just get to work on your board a bunch when you arent riding it. im actually trying to talk my brother into letting me mess with his catalyst since i ordered him a cassette to replace it. i think it would be a fun little project to keep working on when i have time.
and yeah. ive ridden that skate. the shop i work for had a compression molded butter skate for demo last summer. i thought it was much nicer than the catalyst. _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground
