does anyone want a free g-mail account? i have like 200 invites left.

for those of you who dont know about Gmail...it is an email service similar to hotmail (it is operated by the same ppl that created google.com)...only there are no ads, good spam and virus filters, a cool layout and archiving ability...over 2 gigs Shocked of space...and you can send up to 20mb attachments.

you cannot sign-up for an account without an invite. (noramally you buy invites off ebay...like i did...or you have to win them)

if you would like an invite...just let me know. i am not getting anything out of this...i am just doing it to be friendly. so don't think that this is some sort of scam.

You have 47 left. You paid for it too? I feel bad for you, I wish I could have offered you one a while ago. I got it early when people only received a few invites after a few weeks of use.
Anyways though, gmail is the way to go. Make it your primary email, cause it's better than what you're using now. haha Smash

Thanks Matt.

When I went to sign up, it said I needed to pick a different name (I guess some other greg tilton beat me to it) so i did and then I got an 404 error. It wont let me go to the gmail site at all. Whats the deal? I think my registration went through though.

Matt_French, I dont see any check availiblity thing.

I think my second try on the last one went through, I just cant get to the gmail page to login. Even in I goto gmail.com I get the error that it wasnt found or something like that.

hmm, that button wasnt there or wasnt visible when I registered.

But I tried Internet Explorer (I was using Safari) and now the page loads fine.

EDIT: Got to the main page ok using IE, logged in and got the 404 error again. Maybe its the crappy computer I am on. Its pretty old.

David Legler, and if you read the gmail.com login page...they are infinately increasing the size. it is increasing at a decreasing rate...you get about 1 extra mb of storage/per day.

but as time goes on...it will just become less and less.

but still...who need over 2 gigs of email storage. craziness!
