My Flatline Review

Finally saw the whole thing tonite on the way home from the wakeskate tourney....it was REALLY good. Off Kilter did an excellent job on it. and each riders section was insanely solid! Its definately worth picking up if you have not bought it already!

Definitely my favorite wakeskate video I have right now, buy it if you have the means. I could watch again and again, it's like exactly what I needed from a wakeskate movie. Anyone who gets this video will definitely like it, it's got everything; sick rails, incredibly tech lip tricks, flip tricks out the A-hole (especially J Scott's perfect kickflips good god), Gore's microchip Shocked

, Drew D's w2w tricks that would put Grubb to shame, and just overall a smooth flow of riding by everyone.

Jimmie was nice enough to give us a copy today and I was super excited to finally see more than the trailer...I was totally looking forward to Drews line in it *cuz you know he's my HERO!* Wink

his wakeskating skills just amaze me...huge w2w's like its nuthin... Neutral

I'm going wakesurfing with him on April 4th and last time I was out with him I tried my first 3's...did two of em..Jake didnt go sO I didn't get any kool footage.. Embarassed

but this time I'm definately having him come AND video...

In fact I think I'll go watch Flatline right now.......... Razz

WOW! that video was the poorest display of wakeskating i have ever seen. not only was the riding sloppy, but the editing was so bad the 12 year old retard down the street could've done a better job...ok maybe that was a little hard on the production side because the crap they had to work with...thats just it, CRAP! Chase claims everything he does, greg v. couldn't pop open a bottle (that guy really sucked) i feel bad for Gore 'cuz i heard he didnt want to be in it. Kyle Hyams is the smartest man alive to ditch out of this one. he can pop his stuff bigger than chase's ego.(thats huge if you dont know chase) drew danielo had some sick stuff but i feel bad if he rides with any of you.
just the pure fact that over 93% of the tricks in that film were on the water amazes me that you guys can land on the board. the rails they used were small and on the water. every person who did a kickflip the boards tail never got out of the water. its called a POP shove it not throw it on the water so i can think to myself im good. if that video was a drinking game and every good trick you took a drink, your beer would be so warm you would have to get a new one so you could drink to drews part. ( i dont know drew at all, i just cant really rip on that guys riding)
Chase's intro about where he thinks wakeskating will go was the biggest load of crap! he couldn't push wakeskating with a truck. that greg guy has the poorest attitude towards the sport we all love and he should play in traffic.
in conclusion, this film was the worst thing ever, if you think these guys were good i suggest picking up an issue of aliance or WBM 'cuz thats wakeskating or go buy sfumato, asterisk, fill in the blanks or pre pop. thats wakeskating. you don't see anyone who ride for cassette, kampus, LF, hyperlite or anyone else besides chase on gatorboards throwing crap like that. between the rails being small, and the riders looking like that brown stuff in the toilet after eating at taco bell (it smells like bigfoot's dick!) and the poor editing i would give this video nothing, i hope that anyone who hasn't seen it yet to never see. and if you do be sure to have a good wakeskate video or a picture of aaron reed on hand to cheer you up.
sorry if i hurt anyones feeling in this post but i hope it shows you that your friends and family are lying when they say you're good. drew and gore exclude yourselves from this post.
oh yeah...start popping your trick so you dont look like asses.

Anyways, if you guys really thought that bad of it, I ask you to make a better one. And if it's not better, I take a sh;t on it and then inform everyone on here by registering just to make a long post about how much I hated it. At least they're doing something to push the sport, instead of pissing and moaning about how the tails of their kickflips didn't come off the water. That's not the point of wakeskating. It's to go out havin fun with your friends, meeting and riding with new people, and the stoke of landing a new trick. The rest is just details, but really those first three are what keep me in it. I've met and talked to a few of the guys from flatline and they are really chill and cool to be around. There's no reason to come on here talking shizzle like that at all. Flatline is one of my favorite wakeskate movies and it has everything that I wanted out of a video...

i look on this website all the time and think you guys are a bunch of dorks who sit and talk about how great lemons is and how you all want to suck his balls, and i finally couldn't take it anymore and had to create a name and post. taylor, if you think breaking a VCR with you face is cool i suggest you get help...and i didnt even see a hardflip in the film because most of the tricks were so mobbed out. you are right though, it is about making new friends and having fun, but tell me how this film made wakeskating a better sport? where was the style and individuality? where was the progression? if we all skated that bad there would be nothing left, it would end up like pro womens basketball.

all you guys need to stop bichin. Not every video has to have something ground breaking in it to make it good. They are for entertainment purposes. Personaly I like having a variety of wakeskating films to choose from before i go riding. I dont know about you but I ususaly play a video out from watching too much. I then start watching another video untill the played out video is new again. LakeErie, they are all wakeskating videos, even asterisk. I dont know if you noticed but they are called wakesking videos because the guys in them are standing on wakeskates.

But I don't get why you criticize their riding... They are all doing good tricks on the lip and the w2w parts are just crazy, haven't seen anything that good in any other vid, seriously. And Kyle's part was just nuts, all the variations he did off a back lip were sweet.

The vid isn't as pro as others on the market, but the riding was good and the editing/image quality good enough to make it a nice vid to watch.

and this is what pushes a sport forward, small budget films with semi pro riders... If it was ONLY cassette/lf/hype riders you would see in vids it would suck and the sport wouldn't go anywhere...

so.... you aren't allowed to start wakeskating unless you already know how to pop your kickflips a certain height?... or you can only make a video until you're "yay" good?... i wonder how long the flatline guys have been riding, compared to the guys riding with board sponsorships in sfumato, asterisk, fitb, prepop...
