so today was my first ride of the season...very nice...but as im putting away my just bought over the winter k-39, i realize it has a crack running down the bottom. its just a little bit smaller than the diameter of a paperclip and its about 6 inches long. any ideas of how it happened or how i can fix it? what will happen to it if i dont do anything about it? |

Its wood so you better fix it before you ride it again or the water will get in there and cause the wood to expand and split it more. _________________ Vive La Jeffe! - JLA is snowboarding!

lhsxc22, IF you call kampus and complain that your WOOD board that has been SITTING there all winter is cracking then i hope they reach threw the phone and smack you. you own a $130 dollar wood skate. Honestly this whole delam thing is getting out of hand. I know you all think im a integ nazi but come one, quit yuour f#%#ing bitchin im not saying this to you im saying this to everyone.
IF you want a boared that isn't going to delam and isn't going to break then buy a integ. untill then be satisfied with what you got.
O.K i just re-read your post. its probably just a crack in the paint. but let this be a lesson to you. when your board starts to delam and split dont come bitching to me. |

PIRATE, dude u need to lay the fruck off men, some people rather a wood skate, it feels a hell of alott better. Ive skated an integ many times, but id still rather skate my flat watterlogged wood skate, and i just bought a new one... when will people realize all of this, wakeskating has ALOT of personal prefference. Fins no fins, 1 fin, flat, concave, compression molded, big, small, wide, skinny, grip, foam, and there is the HUGE world war with wood vs integ... i hate it, y doesnt everyone skate what the want, if some1 asks for an opinion.. then give them it, but if some1 is asking for help on how to fix a board, we dont fruckin give a shizzle about how much better integ is then a wood flat. Personaly i will never ride a compression molded board, wood 4 life. Ask Top Hatt, hes been riding a karma, he wrode my board once, last week, hasnt touched his board since, my board is wood, flat, and water logged and it still owns integs and hyperlites. FLAT WOOD OWNZ ALL. |

I'd lock it to prevent it from going any further, but I'm quite interested to see what some people have to say.
As for me, boards are gonna break either way. I've seen wood boards break and I've seen compression molded boards break. NOTHING is indestructible.
And to point something out, a shuvit is still a shuvit, and a kickflip is still a kickflip, whether on an Integrity, Cassette, Hyperlite, whatever, the sport won't change. And the sport is all that matters.

Okay... is it a crack... or is it a scratch? The board is going to get sratched, this shouldn't be a big deal. |

PIRATE, some people dont have 300 bucks to spend on a f'ing wakeskate dik so dont assume that hes rich and can piss 300 on an integrity. besides he might like wood or flat decks. _________________ I like to choke when my team needs me the most, no Romo. |

scott a, ya really, Morphine, your very right, a kickflip is a kickflip and a shuv is a shuv, im not saying the sport is differnt but im just saying that its personaly prefference and people always saying how f'n good integ is is getting old i think everyone gets it, pirate loves integ, ok its over. i perfer wood... he perfers integ whatever floats your boat. |

there is no need for an arguement over something like this... PIRATE, dude you dont need to freak out on the guy... I suggest he contacts kampus and asks how to deal with his skate if he cant get anywhere from peoples help on here, but I think there is enough info from people who have decided to answer his question instead of fighting about it... Pirate, If you think wood is such crap then why did you bug me so much about riding for kampus (not callin you out but...)
lhsxc22, listen.. the "delam" in your board is just paint cracking... the paint is cracking abit on one of my K39's... its nothing it worry about...if you are still worried I suggest you sand the skate down and re paint it and seal it...
like i said if you have a cam take a pic of the crack and post it... |
