I just got back from my local board shop, CD Ski & Sports. Right now they had all the snowboard shizzle out and the wake gear in a little section in the back. They had all the $300 bindings and $500 wakeboards on a rack that said "All bindings and boards $50 off".
There was also a 05 Byerly skat priced at $200. I brought it up to the counter and was like, "The wake gear is $50 off, even skates right?".
He said no but he would take $50 off since I go there all the time and have boarded with him before!
Bottom line, I got a BRAND NEW 05 Byerly for $150!
Is that a deal or what!?

i haven't rode it but have talk to some one who has and i guess there is extra weight done the center for the board so it flips around that weight on a k-flip making it easier

I rode one, not a big fan of Hype in general but thought the '05 was way better then anything they previously put out.

my GF has a byerly cause of the foam top... And just for that I couldn't ride it lol, stupid squeesh squeesh sound all the time when you move your feet on the deck...

Also the pop is weird and it rides way too high for me. Still a decent board, and as Brett Leadley and kento911 said, is a big improvement from their 04 models.

Great deal, too bad it wasn't on a Bi or an Integ lol

Nekkie, my foam on the gate is so beat up theres ne sqeesh, but my new Karma makes it, and Im about to sand the foam to make it stop lol

Call me crazy but, I personally prefer foam tops. And surprisingly the board looks nothing like previous hyperlite mishaps. In fact, it's seems pretty impressive. I'm going to ride it soon and give my opinion. Till then, I'll be looking for something to spend all this extra cash on. Cool
