I want to get a new board (or used) that is concave, so what are some suggestions?
I want a fairly cheap one, b/c I plan on getting an integ or bi in summer '06. Something around $150-175, or under. Anyone have a used one they wanna sell?
I know everyone hates hyperlite, and I'm not a fan of them either, but is a '04 Gate for about $100 a no go? Or should I get it at that price, esp since I only plan on for a year hopefully.
Ideal would be a cassette, as I'm a fan of them, but I don't wanna shell out $200+ for a concave one, unless someone has a used one.
No one better turn this thread into a board bashing thread, otherwise mods please delete their comments. Just state honest opinions, and if you say no not that board, say why reasonably. Thanks for your input guys. _________________ :colorless: -> http://falic.parsethis.net <- |

colorless,
I would go with any wood concave. Cassette 484 and LF concaves are all pretty much the same. Im sure you could get one for under 100 bucks. |

If you are only going to ride it for a year, an '03 byerly 107 would be pretty sweet even though you said you dont like Hyperlite. You could probably get it for about 100 somewhere (ebay or somebody on here). maybe a 112 or 116 if you like the big guns and they may be cheaper.
oh yah... I forgot...
you can get a new blank 484 concave (exactly same as older LF and Cassette concaves) with grip for 75. Paint/draw your own graphics. I already posted this, but if you want the guy's name, pm me. He is an ebay seller. That is definitely your best deal. _________________ Go Lake Sammamish, Bake's Marine Center, and me. |
