|
|
I just came in from snowskating in my backyard and I just recently got Burton Junkyard board (I previously had a premier) and noticed that the idea of having two levels is very similar to the bilevel. I was wondering if anyone who has ridden the bilevel has ridden any of the burton snowskates and if they were similar at all in the way they ride. Cause I'm not so sure that I'd like a wakeskate that rides like the junkyard.. but then again I'm just starting to get used to it so that may be why. _________________ Thrive

I've ridden a bi-level snowskate many times, but not the wakeskate. I think they are a lot different. They distance between the two level are very different, and I think the wakeskate would be a lot easier than the snowskate. Also, it's a big board under the wakeskate, unlike the snowskate.
Good question though, anyone who has rode both? _________________ :colorless: -> http://falic.parsethis.net <- |

i own a burton bideck snow skate....you can get good pop off of it, its just harder with snowboots or whatever. nd the ski on the bottom tore to shreds....as i have expressed in other topics. _________________ JMU |

I wouldn't even bother comparing the two because you're on two different mediums and the boards work differently. You know, you can ollie a flat wakeskate but flat snowskates ollie for shizzle. I'd just ride them both, instead of trying to base a decision about a wakeskate on a snowskate, you know? _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

I wouldn't say they are that different, but they are. I can ollie very well on a regular snowskate. I can ollie higher on a bi-level snowskate, but they are compariable ollies. _________________ :colorless: -> http://falic.parsethis.net <- |

Comparable in that they're both two inches off of the ground? I'm just kidding, but I think they're totally different and I think the single decked snowskates aren't all that great (my nico droz is a freaking noodle). But that's my opinion. And again, I wouldn't base the performance of a snowskate on a wakeskate (the bi-level cassette does work differently than the bi-level snowskates, mainly in that there isn't a little fulcrum in a snowskate.) _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

I wouldn't either e-snow. I'm just saying they are somewhat comparable, but just not similar. Anyone rode both? _________________ :colorless: -> http://falic.parsethis.net <-
