Thought I’d share something interesting with you all. I’m signing up for a research study that is being conducted at my university. Basically it is a two day study where in the first day the stress your body out to the max...like on treadmills and stationary bikes until you can no longer control your muscles. I have to wear and oxygen mask...and there will be heart rate monitors and other scientific shizzle involved. Then...at the point where I can no longer move...they take blood tests and a muscle biopsy.

Why would anybody be willing to do this to themselves????

$600 cash…

Has anyone done anything like this before? What am I getting myself into?

sounds good to me, but youre going to be tired as FFFFFUUUCCCKKKK.

600 dollars is alot of money, so i bet it will be hard shitt. they wouldnt just give you 600 for taking a jog on a tredmill. but i bet you get some free food out of it too.

Greg T, thats what the second day is for...they feed you and let you relax in a controlled environment where they continue to monitor your vitals

Just to see what they would do, you should get on the tredmill for like 3 minutes and then collapse.

I've never done anything like this before, but when I was in college, I made a few trips to the blood bank to donate plasma. They would call it "donating", but we would actually get paid for it.

I'm thinking of driving up there right now to do it. That would be the easiest 600 i've ever made!

yes....it most definately will. Most people never get to push their body to the max becuase they have no reason to. I never have...and i will most likely never have a reason to do it again in the future...but in the same sense, that is what made me want to do the study. Im curious to see what my body can handle...and i want to be able to feel what it is like to have your body just give out on you.

If there are any Canadians who watched "making the cut..." They did tests like this on all of the hockey players to see their stamina levels. and it brought most of those mocho full-grown men near tears.

you'll be exercising like Drago in rocky IV...

Dave, I used to donate plasma too! 20.00 pop...or 25.00, it's been awhile. The thought has crossed my mind to donate every now and again...but I don't feel quite that desperate....yet. hahahaha...

Mr. Top Hat, I didn't mean to sound cocky, but running until you collapse isn't really that bad. Sure it feels like hell, but just think of $600!!! And electricsnow, what's plasma? And where can I get this money??? Sperm stuff doesn't appeal to me, but this just might be my money making scheme
