484 rumors

Can anyone speak on this. In the new 2005 gear catalog there are no 484's. My friend had ordered some and they never came. I heard rumors of them going under. What happened or waaaaaas sappenin?

I have heard that their manufacturing company dropped them or something like that, so they are currently looking for a new manufacturer to produce there boards. Also, the E-bay seller that is selling the blank 484 decks for $75 I believe is Scott Patterson, who works/worked at the company. I dont think they are gone for good... but thats only what I heard.

on of my old boss's was talking to 484 at the surf expo, and he was wanting to start carrying 484, i quickly got him to change ideas to a different company.

SamHill, that's what i heard too. Wouldn't be surprised if they just kind of simmered out, because it didnt' seem like they were into it all that much... had some good boards though.

at the boatshow my rep for ten-80 walked the 484 booth and said "hey isn't that our wakekate bag? oh wait it is, but why does it say 484 on it?"

Greg T, haha a year before thomas was probably like "hey aaron look over there, theres some of our boards... what the hell it says 484 on it?" the security guard walks by "hey this company copyed out code for stolen, whats the deal?"

haha imagine the confusion if a board was stolen from the 484 booth... the security guard over the radio... there is a code 484 at the 484 !!!
