Why do you wakeskate? Please post a honest reply

Ok, im so sick of all this bashing of companys, riders and boards.

I want everyone to post a honest reply here.

So... just to keep it simple, Why do you wakeskate?

Please refrain from the smartass remarks and just keep this real.

I think this is something that we can all agree on.

SleuCrew, good topic, I wakeskate/board, because I simply enjoy them more than any other sport I've ever done, I think it's the way that there is a shared stoke, and generally the people that are pro are pretty approachable, I was involved in skateboarding for a long time, and I dont really think the industry as a whole is as receptive.

because bindings can sometimes be a pain and when i dont wanna pull them on i just jump on my skate.

i wakeskate for the feeling i get sliding the water in a way i believe water was made for, i loose all my worries and forget bout any problems i am having well except for dealing with the fact that i will never land a kickflip lol

Thanks to all of you who have posted on this, i may get a little emotional about some of my posts at times but its out of pure love for the sport... it really comes down to freedom and fun.

No matter where you stand or what you like to do we need to never stray from what we want from wakeskating and why we do it... and that is that its just pure fun!

Everytime you think about wakskating or get out on the water just remember why you are out there doing it... Seriously this is all that really matters.

I dont care if you ride one of my boards or anyone else's or a garbage can lid for that matter. Just have fun with it and dont take it too seriously. We are all lucky to have wakeskating and i think alot of people take that for granted.

TO EVERYBODY... just keep ripping and do it with a smile on your face. Very Happy

I love wakeskating because I can leave all the bullsh:t on shore and as soon as I hit the water, all my stress and problems are forgotten.

Wow this is a good thread.

i ride because, well its probably the funnest thing in the world. i love to wakeskate i mean i love it, i bet that i have more fun then anyone else in the world when i ride. and that why i do it, i always go out and ride with the soul intent on having more fun then anyone else out there.

also i notice and so does my chick that if i dont ride 3-4 times a week i get all grouchy and irritated, and shell tell me "go ride you have a bad attitude" so i guess its a stress reliever for me also.

and its not wakeboarding so thats always good Laughing

it is fun and also a major stress reliever. i do start to have withdrawl-like symptoms where just randomly i will like yell i want to wakeskate, or wow i wonder if you could tow behing that, or hey your nipple kinda looks like my boat.;
