Skateboarding ----->>> Wakeskating

I've only been wakeskating for a year, and I decided during the cold winter i would pick up skateboarding to help my wakeskating. I've only been able to pull of simple shuvs and ollies on my skateboard. Will this help or not?

if you call yourself a wakeskater you better be able to do some stuff on a skateboard. that's where the "skate" in "wakeskate" comes from.

since i graduated i have no one to skate with. i'm 25 so it's not like i can run around with a bunch of middle school kids. i skate by myself but 30 minutes of that is enough. i can still do mad wheelies though.

I just picked up a cheapy skateboard for when i am bored. Maybe ill upgrade if i seem to be having a decent time with it. But i dont think its required to skateboard to be a wakeskater. I think they have alot in common but it is in no way a requirement to say you wakeskate. They are different sports. And it is definitely not required to be able to due something on it in order to call yourself a wakeskater.

This all coming from someone who can barely skateboard or wakeskate. So take it how you will.

haha well it's my opinion. it'll help your style and stuff a lot though. my post was a little too absolute, because it's also like saying you should also be able to wakeboard, cuz that's where the "wake" in wakeskating comes in. so here's a better idea: i encourage everyone on here to skateboard because it will help your wakeskating. i guarantee it. just don't hurt yourself too much. and why does wearing Fox clothes not make you a skateboarder? does that mean you can't wear an Integrity shirt and go skateboard? Shocked
