so im scrolling through my documents and i found this doc. that was titled Wake Skateing, and im liek wow i never wrote sumpin liek that so i clicked on it and i find this funny paper my bro wrote about wakeskating.. lemme forwarn u that my bro cant balance worth crap, hes wakeskated like.. twice, me and my friends liek takeing him just to watch his "patheticness" ya that right i made up my own word for him... well here it is.. and yes he did hand this in.

Wake Skating

Have you ever been gliding on water with just a wood board under you, I have and I do it often. Wake Skating is a fun but tough sport. There are a bunch of things you have to get good at before you can land some cool tricks. The hardest thing for beginners is getting up. Another tough thing is balance, balancing is harder on a wake skate than a wakeboard because the wake board is bigger and you aren’t strapped in. This paper is going to tell you step by step how to get up so you can try it for yourself.

The first thing is getting up. Getting up is hard for beginner who have never done a water boarding sport, because if you have done one of these your in the hang of wake skating. To get up you must first put your feet on the screws of the board. Make sure the board is horizontal with your knees tucked into your chest. Then hold the rope firm and the boat will pull you up with a thrust. You will feel the urge to let go but if you want to get up you can’t. If you push through and hold on pull back and turn your board straight.
And now you are up. The first time I tried to get up I succeeded but only because I wake boarded for about a year before I tried it. I was so proud of myself and if you work hard you will be to.

The second part of wake skating is in my opinion easy. It is balancing; balancing once again is a thing you need to get good at on a wakeboard before your good at it on a wake skate. To balance well you must put your self in a square stance, which means your feet are two to three feet apart.
It gives you balance because you can pick which side you can put your weight on. If you’re smart you always need to keep your weight on the back foot. I admit my first time wake skating I had a bit of trouble with balance, it was only a few days before I got in the hang of it. To test yourself you should swerve side to side.

When you have balancing perfected you need to learn some tricks. The first trick I learned, which is by far the easiest trick there is, was a butterslide what it is, is you have to come into the wake toe side and turn your board so your toes are pointing at the boat, lean back or you will fly forward. Then turn back to normal after a few seconds. Another simple trick is an olie for this you must sacrifice some balance and push your front foot back a little. Then you have to push on your back foot and jump. As high as you can. I olie am still not perfect at the olie but I’m getting there. My best trick is an off the water 180 into an on the water 180. All you have to do is olie and spin the board with you and as you hit the water do another 180 on the water.

The reason I love wake skating is I don’t remember anything about school or anything stressing when I’m doing it, I’m just gliding on the water going 15 miles an hour trying to pull of tricks with the wind whipping my hair into my face.
I cant explain how happy I am when I’m doing it.
I’m sad now that its winter and I can not do it.
