No you Homos!!!! It had nothing to do with wakeskating. It was serious stuff --- serious!!!

He was all dressed up in his Sunday Best talking about important affairs that affect the community --- serious!!!

Mind you, I did go out to a Stag party last night for one of my buddies from work, and I spent a considerable amount of money on Booze, lap dances, and other things, so I was a bit hung over this morning when I saw it. HOWEVER --- I am certain that it said "Jono Boysen" and they were talking about "Monster Parties" -- serious!!!

PS - Any of you guys (Canadians) got your subscription to WBingMag. I am dying to see the Buyer's Guide.

dudes, I got the low down on this shizznit. It was cuz of his co-op. They needed someone to interview who knew how to party and how to party hard.
so JB was the man.

HaHa!! True enough.

I honestly think that the program was about a Party that got out of hand -- serious!! (Nothing like hear-say to let a rumour get out of hand.)

Yo Matts (notice Plural),

a) I spoke to Chapters; orders come in on Wednesday. Got an email from the people at wBingMag, if you've got a subscription you should either have it by now or in the next day or so. They gave us free subscriptions because they are kind.

b) I noticed you guys talking about economic "elasticity" and "in-elasticity" on another thread. Nice!!! Matt.F. I guess that's what happens when you study for an economics test then comment on an on-line thread. That shizzle just seems to sneak in.

jonnyUTAH...a little quiz...

1) A firm has discovered a new kind of nonfattening, nonhabitforming dessert
called zwiffle. It doesn't taste very good, but some people like it and it can be
produced from old newspapers at zero marginal cost. Before any zwiffle
could be produced, the firm would have to spend a fixed cost of F$ . Demand
for zwiffle is given by the equation q=12-p. The firm has a patent on
zwiffle, so it can have a monopoly in this market.

a) The firm will produce zwiffle only if F is less than or equal to 36.
b) The firm will not produce zwiffle if 12 > F .
c) The firm will produce 12 units of zwiffle.
d) The firm will produce 9 units of zwiffle.
e) None of the above. (4 points)

(whoever writes these questions should be shot!)

ok... Jono, so were you at the actual party where the dude got stabbed? Or were you not at the Party; however, as Sacchitiello says, you are someone CTV needed to interview because you know "how to party and how to party hard?" If the answer is the latter, good job.

Matt F. I am so glad I don't need to do those questions anymore. I think that during an exam you need to answer those questions in 2 minutes to finish all questions. The only answer that seemed to make sense was "b) The firm will not produce zwiffle if 12 > F" The Firm WILL produce zwiffle if F is less than 12. F has to be less than 12. Assuming that the "p" in the equation represents price, i.e. "q (quantity) = 12-p[((price) (p = F$ + some sort of $ amount profit margin))] . So no, the Firm WILL produce zwiffle if 12 is greater than F. I'd say "e - none of the above." These questions are so gay. It's all about logic, not economics. However, there is never logic in economics, so I guess that it all works out. Remember the old saying, "if you were to take all the economists in the world and line them up one in front of the next, they would never reach a conclusion." That's why I switched during my second year from eco-boring-omics to Physics.

Whatever???? Any of you Ontario Riders going down to Florida over the winter. I saw in the Globe that you can get $60 tickets with JetsGo.

q=12-p is the "inverse demand function"
so... p=12-q
it's a monopoly...so multiply the demand function by q, and then differentiate to find the Marginal Revenue...

p=12-q
p=12q-q^2
MR=12-2q

now...we all know that in a monopoly situation...Marginal Revenue = Marginal Cost
"it can be produced from old newspapers at zero marginal cost" so...

MC=MR
0=12-2q
q=6

and when quantity is 6...Price=12-(6)=6

and Revenue is equal to PriceXQuantity
(6)*(6)=36

so...if fixed costs are more that $36...the company could not operate and still make a profit.

So the correct answer is a)

Haha --- chickity china the chinese chicken!!!!

"Marginal Revenue = Marginal Cost" Now I remember that crap.

Here's a little story about my ECO 101 final at Uni. Full year course. Final exam = 60% of mark. Text book 1069 page. I studied for 3 weeks. I wrote every equation in pencil on the inside of my calculator (when you write the equations in pencil they are kind of hard to see and are, thus, less obvious to those jerk TAs who monitor exams). I made sure that I got to the exam early, that way I would get a seat against the wall. When you sit against the wall, you reduce your chances of being seen cheating by 1/2. The exam was 3 1/2 hours. The entire time, I was praying that the TAs didn't examine our calculators. Thank god they didn't. Despite a few moments of shear panic/terror; I did alright on the exam. When then exam was over, I took a shizzle then went and got shizzle-faced drunk at 4:00 in the afternoon.

The mag looks dope. Sattelyte stuff turned out pretty good. They didn't print any of the board write ups -- unfortunate! They just printed the specs. We had a write up on "Mr.Stubbs", but we didn't include a photo, so it never got published. I'm pretty sure that we're the only Canadian wakeskate company in the Buyer's Guide; I like that!

All-in-all, it's a good issue. The staff at WBM are fantastic!

What are you doing tomorrow for New Years?

There's a Burton Demo tomorrow at Beaver Valley, so we're going to hit that up. Do some shred-sticking. That night, I guess the Burton guys will be partying in Collingwood. We're going there first. Then I guess some of Emily's wakeboard friends are having a party in Stainer (town close to Wasaga Beach). If any of you Ontario guys know about this, I guess I'll see you there. I like to hit the sauce pretty hard, so the chances of me riding at Blue on Saturday are slim.

Word!
