for real any boat will do, just make sure it throws a clean wake, just try and test a few out and go at 20-23mph and see if the wake is descent. ive riden behind jet skis, super airs and regular boats an dthey are all fun.

Dinjj, if your dad wants a boat he can fish in, I doubt he'd be the kinda guy looking for a Malibu, Mastercraft, Nautique, etc. For at home my dad bought a Lund 17 footer, since he's big on fishing, with a 115hp. I was super pissed when he first bought it, but it's actually not too bad. SUPER clean wake, and although its not good for wakeboarding, its perfect for wakeskating. And it's meant for a fishing boat, so it works for my dad.

i guess you could look at some used wakeboard boats... i doubt you could find anything new around the price of a pro-line. the thing is, you can fish in pretty much any boat. your dad would just look pretty gay fishing in a yellow mastercraft with a billet tower

i personaly thing that my 1987 ski nautique is perfect for wakeskating. you can go waketowake, without having a hard time on a really big lip. alot of wakeskaters seem to like it. and my dad has fished from it. but deffinatly try some boats out before you buy one.
