What do you guys think about the 05 Hyperlite Catalyst?

I can't get an integ so don't fill this up with posts sayin "Get an Integ"

Or just get an 05 LF deck there really dope. Go on wakeworld and look at all the wakeskates, and try and find what suits you best.

most of the 05 LFs will shizzle up reallly easily, the so called "new epoxy coating" is less than half a milimeter thick... and it scratched really easily

what makes you want a catalyst?

check out the cassette concaves. if you cant get an integrity i would get a cassette.

GWC, You don't want the epoxy to be super thick or it would be to heavy. as far as scratches, it is pretty derable for a wood deck, longest lasting wood deck in my opion.

If your not down for an Integrity, get a cassette.

It probably doesn't seem important to you, but it does matter where your money goes in this industry. If you want wakeskating to be gay waterskiing, buy a gay hyperlite. If you want a good, quality board coming from the original, most innovative wakeskate company out there; do yourself a favor and get on a cassette wakeskate.

hyperlite skates arent as bad as every one makes them out to be, i have riden a hyperlite sk8 for years now, there where some draw backs about them in the years before but this years board are realy good. I have aso riden a 4trac and a LF concave and i just feel more at home on a hype sk8. i ride the 2005 byerly and it is sick. it all depends on how it feels to you. every one needs to lighten up on hype a lil. they have three of the best wakeskaters around in byerly, grubb and thomas. and if rumors are right they sighned daniels also, so hype isnt keeping sk8ing down they are progressing it just as much as the others!!!!!!!!!

there you go, hype has for of the most influential riders in the sport, 2 guys who could be considered og's and 2 new riders who are pushing the sport in the what it needs to go, but i give cassete some credit there still is no rider like danny hampson he is good.

The only reason hyperlite has these riders is because hyperlite has lots of $$$

and riders aren't the only thing that make a board company. And I also don't think that Brandon Thomas is any where near being one of the best wakeskaters out there.

the almighty dolla is every where but hype doesnt just give there mony to any one, yeah you are right quality of boards is what makes the company, hype has high quality goods the stand up the best on rails and jibs, a wood skate weres off the paint and gets water loged and is way to heavy. brandon thomas is good enought he took down the best of the best at the reno tour stop in the nastiest condiditions.

seriously, this years hype skates are legit, last year they all had issues, but they fixed em and they are killer fr sure, oh and Nick, I have it on a reputable source that Byerly, and Parks turned down bigger money offers, and went with hype b/c hype would let them be more involved in the design of their own products. so don't assume you know all the angles
