Search for the damn near infinite topics on this, please.

But to help you out, cause we're cool like that, it's heavy, but not bad heavy, it ends up being pretty sweet.

its not as heavy as you think but once you ride it, the pop makes up for any weight problems, the cataylst is alot heavier than the bi level

sooo if the bi level pop makes up for the weight, then wouldnt it still be similar, you can pop higher but its harder to spin stuff....so whats really the point? if it just "makes up for it" then why not ride a mono-level board

It's not any harder to spin. I can ollie like a foot higher with the bilevel, so it doesn't just make up for the weight, it does more. The main point is, yes dammit, it's heavy, but you won't have any problems with it.

wakesk8r, actually they are two totally different boards, first off the byerly on comes in a 107, and the catalyst comes in a 112 and 116, plus, the concave, the tail and nose width, and the way they are weighted are completely different

Nick_Sh, the catalyst/byerly were redesigned this year. they are double glassed, have blunt(er) edges, have a different foam pattern on top, and they have weighting like jacob mentioned. if im not mistaken the byerly has lead running down the center of the board (a la integrity) and the catalyst has only the tip/tails weighted. the concave is changed, and when i stood on it, it felt like ass. there is some kind of lump running down the center of the board. who knows what that is for...im thinking there might be a few more changes, but thats the gist of the more obvious stuff. perhaps jacob can give us a rundown of the board since i havent had the oppurtunity to talk with the norcal rep about it just yet.
