Hey, I have some questions regarding a trip a few of us are making from California to Dallas/BSR the last weekend of September.
Quick rundown is the following.
Getting into the Dallas late friday night and staying in the downtown area.
Wakeup friday morning, have breakfast and had to BSR.
Shred all day.
Head back to the hotel to shower before going out friday night.
Depending how Friday night goes, potentially back to BSR or just explore Dallas before flying back out Sunday night.
My questions, can anyone recommend some places to check out Friday night for dinner/drinks near downtown? Would love to get some authentic Texas BBQ while in town.
Any recommendations for things in/around Dallas Sunday?
Also if anyone will be around that Saturday please come out to BSR and skate with us! _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

@flixnaster , I lurk the non wakeboarding forum of wakeboader.com for their content and already searched a lot of the Dallas/ Texas threads. Both Pecan and Lockhart Smokehouse are on a must see/eat list thanks to that forum. _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

Let me know which one you try. I have not been to many up in the Dallas area...but Austin, Lockhart and south Texas I have.
Have a great time in Texas.
Is cowtown(now Repubic?) still open in Dallas? Hydros?
We do have three cable parks about 1.5 hours south of BSR. Quest, Next Level, and TSR.
And don't forget the new Surf park. _________________ Wakeskating

Flixmaster I'll be sure to repost in here once the trip is over.
As of now, I cant find anything for Cowtown/Republic and the only random cable park I'm finding is the Wake Sport Ranch that is connected to the Motor Sport Ranch track in Cresson off of HWY 377 and 171.
As for Cowtown/Republic, everything I can find on online/social media makes it seem like its closed down? No IG, Facebook, website, phone numbers seem dead.
Hydous in Allen station might become a quick afternoon trip Sunday before our flights, same with the Flowrider in Plano. All depends how Saturday night goes and what we as a group decide. _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

Texas skaters, which Hydrous Park would you recommend for wakeskaters? which one has more skate friendly rails? Digging through IG post trying to figure it out but I'd love to hear some actual wakeskate feed back.
Thanks. _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

Steven M, I've only been to Little Elm in Allen, TX where they had one of the previous Wakeskate Tour stops. It was a blast. It's a super fun little cable with a decently wakeskate friendly setup (3 years ago mind you..). Have fun in Texas! _________________ http://projectsports.com.br

WERDna , just curious but I thought the Little Elm location was on Lewisville Lake and the other location was in Allen just north of Plano?
Kind of bummed because their websites and IGs don't really show off the cable park/features so it's been hard to tell what is at what cable park _________________ Scuba Steve's Wakeskate Film Libray |

Steven M, Both Hydrous parks are pretty legit. Allen spins clock wise and Little Elm spins counter. I personally like Little Elm much better but it's just preference. They are both fairly small cables which is pretty awesome bc you can fall anywhere and have a short walk back.
I only get to hit them a few times a year when I'm down there so can't confirm any of the current rail setups... |
