Liptrick Video Contest

Just want to keep people in the loop.

I'm working on all the details and after talking with a few people and talking things over here is the current run down.

Re-Entry tricks will NOT be involved. We understand some people only ride ski, and you can't hit a re-entry move behind that wake, this also puts a stop to people just hitting re-entry flip tricks and not touching the lip.

Here is the current breakdown going on.

1- All videos must be one continuous clip, no cuts or edits other than adding music or your name.

2- The 1 minute timer starts at the initiation of the first trick (ollie or shuv or kickflip or whatever). Any tricks thrown after the 1 minute mark will not count.

3- You are free to throw tricks on either lip and move between the two, but the timer is still going so edge quickly.

4- No Inside Out tricks or Re-Entry tricks.. sorry, lip lines only with tricks into and out of combos.

We are working on a new submission date range to ensure as many people as possible can submit and participate, originally I suggested the first of June but after talking with a few people who experience a real Winter season and would barely start riding by that date we are thinking late June/ the 1st of July as the opening date.

Once we decide on a submission date, we will accept videos for 1 week. After that week you are SOL.. We will open a poll setup with links to all videos and let the public decide on the top 3 or 4 videos.

Once we have it narrowed down to that we will have a special panel of judges decide the final winners.

I'm working with a few companies to get some small prizes setup.

So I have two OG wakesakters on board to judge the final videos along with 2-3 companies donating some prize bag swag for the winners. Still working on 1 or 2 more panel judges and one more prize setup.

If anyone else has comments or suggestions to make this better please let us know so we can take those into account and try to make this the best it can be for its inaugural run!

I'd be so psyched to see Danny or Nick get involved in this. Even if their submissions are them messing around a little bit during one of their sessions. They both can make magic happen on the lip.

I really hope a lot of people submit and get involved in this, like I said it would be awesome to make this a yearly thing and do a 1 contest every few months and just have it rotate from lip tricks, cable lines, kicker tricks, flat bar tricks, lock ins...

Just find a way for everyone to compete and have some fun.
