| ok so now that Remotes thru moonshine factory have been out for almost two years, I wanna hear people who own them talk about them. I personally don't own one, but I want to hear opinions. Honest opinions of the good and bad. I feel like I do hear lot of good about them, but I have seen lots of pics of delaminating ones tho and it always seems to be credited to a manufacturing issue, and Remote seems good about replacing those. Do the replacement skates last better? Does the problem reoccur? I was just thinking this because I noticed in WSM 2.3 that an add has a Remote that looks like its coming apart completely in the middle. is this a big problem? please share all you want, openly: how it rides? how its lasts? problems? benefits? are they worth it? compare them to other boards too. |

The things are pretty much tanks for the most part. I Slammed mine into a concrete wall winching and nothing happened. My brother had these weird pressure cracks on the tail of a nick taylor model after about a week of riding. He got it replaced and hasn't had a single problem with the new one, even wake to wake riding, winching, rail riding, ect. When something goes wrong with these boards its just a factory defect and as far as I know those are occurring less and less now. _________________ ---------------------------

Ive rode two, one fell apart after a few weeks the concave completely split off, it was replaced, and two sessions later you could see the concave splitting off again....
As for riding the board, it felt solid while cutting around, the concave seems great and kicktails and everything really nice on the soles of your feet. The inside out boosts huge. But when it comes to shuvs etc the board seems a bit to heavy for my liking. But this could just be a personal opinion. If you like a little more meat under your feet then Remotes are the way to go, but beware of them falling apart. Although maybe my buddy just got two bad boards in a row. |

Ive had my cereal box yan since it came out and I had no problems with it. It started to have a bit of cracking at the end of last season but it is still going strong.
I got the transportation series yan at the beginning of this year and the thing feels amazing. It has a great shape and it has a lot of pop. So far havent had any problems with it coming apart or anything. The board seems like a tank. I definitely would reccommend the remotes. The price is a little more expensive but it seems to me like this board will last a long time. |

I have owned a couple different remotes over the years.
For me the early series were good boards but the wm decks worked better for me. I liked wm better because of rocker and it seemed to have a bigger surface area.
The moonshine decks are solid. The construction is top notch. I have a had zero problems and the boards are tanks. However, there is a big difference between the 39.5 and the 38.5. With one less ply the 38.5 is way smaller.
For me, the moonshine remotes don't track that great. I have been ridding finless for 13 years and something about the remotes cause me to slip out more often. I don't know what it is but I am much more solid on a wm or integ.
I am stoked for remote and all that they do. They are a great company. Keep up the great work fellas. _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com/

I absolutely love the new Remotes.
I have had great luck with them lasting, even after riding at the cable a lot. I ride the 38.5", but I also really like the 39.5". I like the extra float and speed of the thicker decks at the cable, but behind a ski and boat I like the thinner decks. I like how they have options.
The concave and shape of the deck just feels so good. I feel totally comfortable. I still love the top shape of Integritys better than anything else though (I love pre-kicks and lips on the tails).
I think it would be hard for me to find a board I like better than the new Remotes at this point. I really like the Water Monsters decks because they feel great and are super snappy. But I love the faster speed and durability of the Remotes, especially because I ride a lot of cable now.
miller, They definitely ride higher in the water. I took a metal file to the center section of my rails so it sits deeper and I really like the feel. I liked it before, but now it's even better. |

I had the remote hooks road kill didn't like it that much except for the design. Also I came from from an integ board so that might be the cause. I'm currently riding an Indy now its a flat board and it feels like a flat wood integ

| wakemitch, does filing down the center of your rails really make it sit lower in the water? so theoretically i can do this to the shapeable rails on my integ? |

I have had a cereal Silas since right after they came out and the thing is still truckin! I ride my shizzle until they die and this one is not even close to being done. After multiple summers at the cable and countless winch adventures, she still calls to me from the garage. Hence why I purchased a Nick when they came out. Only rode her four or five times but instantly fell in love. _________________ www.kcwatersports.com |

Can't remember which model but I rode one of the 2013 remotes. Looks pretty durable for a wood board, the bottom layer of composite is thick so it could take a lot of sliding, maybe even a little reshaping (I think Nick mentioned this once), the factory edge is fairly sharp.
Its probably a good ride if you like a thick heavy board with a lot of concave. Personally I don't like steep concave and the Remote concave seemed pretty steep to me. |
