i have a friend that just bought a hover, and it was super heavy..i think heavier than the remotes. Another thing is it was splitting on both sides 2 weeks in and one side was really bad. She doesn't skate hard at all, just rides around, plus we skate at a small cable that has no rails/ramps or anything...just water.
Not saying that all hovers will split, but I really didn't think that should have happened at all...she just started learning. Perfski was cool enough to take it back and i showed her to nick's remote...she loves it.

I just figured out that the store Im going to sells level 13 wakeskates as well.. Does anyone have opinions of l13 skates for rough w2w? Im still trying to decide which deck is the best for me... the choices are :
Ronix Boomstick
Ronix Hoverboard
Some kind of Level 13 wakeskate

| I wouldnt worry about all this technical stuff. If you have never wakeskated before you cannot guess which board you are going to prefer. Pick one which looks cool and ride it. No board will make you better or worse and chances are in a years time you will want to change anyway.

11RANDOMNESS, yea...what's cool about it is how cheap....perfect if you wana just work on your flat...all you need is water
and what stack said. just buy one. the only way to figure out what you want exactly is by riding, you'll most likely get used to your board and won't know about one you'll like better till it comes around for you to ride it....what you don't know won't hurt you.

stack, I get how that works. But I know that there are boards that deal rough lake water better than others. What im asking is how can I identify a board that is better for rough w2w, instead of cable parks, because I know that I will ONLY be riding behind a boat.
Thanks.

radster, There's not a board designed to be ridden in overly rough water. If you're trying to skate through white caps or something you're going to have a bad time no matter what you are ridding. Most the wakeskates out there are made for all aspects. Theres not specific boat boards or winch boards, they work well pretty much anywhere. You're not going to be gliding over rough water with a boomstick or any other board. Seriously nearly all wakeskates will work for wake to wake.

So having a heavier board doesnt help? Im not going in whitecaps, its just not going to be glass smooth. If all wakeskates do w2w the same, than why do only some boards say that they are good for w2w in the description?
Thanks!

They might not be the same but your not going to get on a board that is "bad" for wake to wake.

| I rode the ronix boomstick and I definately preferred it over my ronix electric collective 43". It is quite heavy which in my opinion but helps with jumping w2w. It will still feel much different from a skateboard but the flexible tail will help make it feel similar to a skateboard. I would probably get the 40" if I were you to get more responsive ride along with more pop for ollies considering you weight 100 pounds.[/b]
