its getting warmer every day around here, time to get the ghet-tow boat out and get it ready! the girl friend has already hit me up about having everything ready.
WHo else is getting ready or already ready to kick off some skating?
Ive got new plugs, new 12 gallon fuel tank, electric start and new battery to add to the 25. But just to get a little more stoked on starting off the year ive got a few other things to whip up to further improve the skate boat.
Gonna start by removing the 3 benches and building two new benches with a 3inch foam seat cushion for each. ill have one in the back exactly where the old one was and then one up front. the rear will have the fuel tank under it and the front will house the battery and water pump equipment, (along with jackets, tools, and w/e else). In front of the front seat ill have a small ballast bag in the bow. a couple on skate racks on the inside walls between the new seats will also help keep the rig more organized on the water.
I know the 25 will handle the extra weight of the e start and racks and sack becasue we ran with all the weight last year, but Im looking high and low for a 35hp carb and intake to get a nice bump in power too.
If i can keep the cost down for the project i may have the extra scratch for a new skate too. _________________ Ross

Yea this boat is a blast it spoiled us soo much skating 10minutes away from the house in a glassy creek that I decided to sell my big boat because we never had as much fun driving an hour away to go ride it on the lake.
Here is the original threa for the boat/tower build, hopefully we can go even higher with the heavier boat/ballast setup . http://www.wakeskating.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34068 _________________ Ross |
