I have been looking to get a new wakeskate. I'm 6'0 and 175 ibs,

I am looking for a board that will be used 80% of the time behind a seadoo, so one that gives good pop.

I have been researching and I heard great things about Remote Boards but I haven't had the change to try one out.

What would you guys would suggest for a new board - possibly the Remote Lecomte or the Labadens?

And also is there a big difference between the 2012/2013 models?

Thanks, |

				Yes remote for sure.

2013s are slight more durable but I have a 2012 and its plenty plenty durable. Ive slammed it against concrete walls at riding speed and nothing happened to it. I ride the 39.5 And love it. I'm 6'2" btw. _________________ ---------------------------

				Also,

If anyone has ridden the Matt hooker 40- Roadkill series board compared to the Labadens 39.5 board I would appreciate it.

Thanks |

I've riden the 40 Lecomte and theres really not a huge difference. I just like smaller anyway so I prefer the 39.5 but you can hardly tell. |

they dont have it anymore, and i just bought the lecomte. _________________ Peace through firepower!! |

				| Not to shoot down remote, but if you're mostly riding behind a seadoo you probably don't need to spend the extra money to get a bullet proof remote deck. I haven't ridden the newer remotes, but I'm guessing the pop is pretty similar to a watermonster, which is a hundred bucks less. Just saying. Also, I'm 6'2" and ride a 40" watermonster. |

wakethecape, Newer remotes are gonna ride waaay different from a WM man. Rocker is night/day different. Concave shape, construction/materials, everything is just really different about those two boards. Remotes ride really fast and are pretty overall energetic. The pop is, to me, softer and more springy on a Remote. I'm not knocking WM either though. Their construction is tried and true and I ride a board currently with a really similar shape and rocker and I love it. _________________ - Evan Molina |

				I have them all

I have the Austin and Andrew WM boards, A Leo Remote, a Ben Remote, A Mutiny Cajun Cougar, and a few LFs. Also just got my first Cassette!

Why choose. I Like my Remote for 80% of the conditions, its heavy, consistent and bombproof. I really only ride my Mutiny/Integ on butter days or rails (im no ami grom fliptrickin in the chop). I also love my WM decks. They all have their strengths and weaknesses.

I would have to say though the Leo(remote) and the Andrew(WM) are prob my go to decks. They are both great for riding the ski. I feel like Nick had a great write up on the difference in the way the boards ride. The Remotes have that bottom that makes them ride on edge a bit more, where the WM is a bit softer around the edges making it more forgiving but a bit less responsive on edge.

I guess it all depends on your style.

Keep an eye out on the classifieds here. I started by getting a few used decks and trading people. Its a great way to try boards out and get a feel for what is your preference. _________________ https://vimeo.com/moontowerco |
